Can I put a T5 on its side?

Hey again,
I just bought my 600w LED light (~276w actual draw) and heard that my buds won't be very dense with it so I just ordered a 4-foot t5 light (HPS is out of the question - too high power consumption) This is going in a small tent and is for 3 plants, the tent size will be 36"x36"x72" so the t5 wont fit up top - especially with the LED light up top. Can I hang the t5 light on its side so the 4 feet is diagonal? if so, how would I go about doing this? Thanks!~~

I'm not sure I 100% understand what you're talking about. Do you want to hang it along a wall with it on a diagonal like / or \?

Actually, I just looked at your grow and that's almost exactly what I'm planning on doing. What was your yield? I'm also using calimag, coco coir, and the Flora Trio. Also, do you think three plants will fit well in my tent?

Yeah you should be able to do it I guess. If it's not too heavy you might be able to drill some holes in the reflector and hang it from there.

I ended up with 8oz of bud and 3oz of good trim if I remember correctly.
3 plants should fit well into a 3'x3' tent, Green75 has currently got 4 plants in his 3x3.

yes you can, t-5 lights are meant to do this. you will have to check the brackets on the lights tho. remember to keep them still 16-24 inch away

Keep the t5 16-24 inches away? I read they can be inches away without burning plus I don't have 16-24 inches wide to give it

if you don't have the room make sure you keep a fan blowing on the bulbs then, they tend to heat up

I was wondering what I was going to do with that clip fan I bought! will that be enough to all air circulation too or will I need to buy a second fan? it's a small tent (3ftx3ft) and I'm going to have a in line fan (arriving on friday) that's going on the exhaust in front of a carbon filter (I'm assuming this will draw air through a vent into 4ft of ducting through my tent and out the second 4ft ducting) if I need another fan should I get a $20 inline fan or another $10 clip fan that goes in the tent?

what t-5 was it 4bulb or 8bulb
my t-5s are giving me like 80* at 1 inch away but i also have fans running across it. i do however have my 4 bulb 3 inches from the clones. this is a 4ft as well.

It's a 4-light fixture but one of the bulbs came broken so I have 3 and they're 48". I ordered 4 more 3000k bulbs that should be here by friday.

Dude I would get 4 x 2 foot T5's and hang 2 on each side of LED using brackets for T5s from Amazon or ebay. Or put 4 footers on each side diagonally but you will sacrifice top lighting for better lower buds perhaps. Hey I also heard T5's may not be great for flower stage ???

I tried that a couple of years ago, but I could not get the light close enough to the plants to make a difference. I was just wasting electricity.
