I have a critical kush auto that's about 6 weeks old. she is just starting to show signs of flowering. is it harmful to the plant to remove all fan leaves as they are blocking alot of light? Thanks

U don’t want to take to much off at one time. You can shock her. A little at a time or if u can tuck leaves behind bud sites to allow light in that will work too.
A light defoliation in the middle to allow air flow isn’t a bad thing and helps prevent mold. Lol

That is a touchy subject, and I'm staying out of it, lol
But to me, i see lots bigger buds by removing leaves, on the bottom and on the top, and a bunch of them.
But like Potted said, you don't want to take to many at one time on autos, and tucking is a good thing too,

I dident know that was a touchy subject,I though it was just common sense, M J 101, to remove some leaves is normal in my world. Sorry

I remove the fan leaves as the plant grows - starting at about 20 days. After topping they usually always have some big ass fan leaves blocking bud sites below. Last 2 plants I topped they didn't slow down for a day - I take them off 2 at a time, always side by side.
If one grows an auto naturally without topping - then I take off the big fan leaves, again - always two side by side, and always when the plant is small and just has about 5 or 6 nodes happening.
When the plant has pistils starting the plant should look like a Christmas tree. Should have 8 solid branches growing up the sides and the main cola.
