SoOrbudgal what’s a good LED? I’ve thought about trying one but there’s too many to choose from. I’m still growing under a old Sun Systems light I bought almost 20yrs ago. It has a 150W HPS on each end with 2 T5’s along both sides for a total of 516W’s along with a lot of heat to vent out. It does great but it would be nice to grow cooler with less watts and still get good bud.
 
I had to buy a whole new ceiling for my old grow box, which I switched from HID, but I don't know how much the bulbs are. They are built for the BCNL grow boxes specifically, you'd have to call them and see how much the cobs are.
 
I’ve never heard of these grow boxes but they look badass! How much do they run? When the site says ‘call for pricing’ I can’t help but assume it’s way more than I want to pay 🤷🏻‍♂️
 
They are expensive, but I got a great deal on my second one. I bought five years ago; I don't know what the run now. Call them and let us know!!! I had some inheritance money and I needed an enclosed stealth system, so this was the way I went. If I lived somewhere legal, I'd love to have more room, but the two boxes are good for now.
 
They definitely look sweet and stealthy! I built a hidden room in the corner of my basement years ago that I have two 2x4 tents in, one for the mom’s and the other to flower. If something like this was around then I would’ve went that route. Especially since doing everything myself to be incognito also meant carrying all the supplies in by myself. It was a pain in the butt at the time but it’s been well worth it.
 
Your hidden rooms sound awesome!!! When I started researching what to buy, I knew absolutely nothing about putting together a grow room. I have mad respect for everyone who builds their own, but in 2015 I was 62, working full-time and not a builder. I was fortunate to have the $ to buy the boxes.

The first one was HID, and of course I'd have to unscrew the top and switch bulbs. The second one I got with the LED Cobs, 13 year bulb life, that made me happy. I liked it so much I replaced the HID ballast with the same thing and sold the old ballast and bulbs. Not having to fk with bulb switching was one thing that made my life as a Cannabis cultivator easier.

How long you been growing?
 
Over 15yrs now. When our daughter was born I told my wife I didn’t want to ruin our lives buying a bag of weed so I decided to start growing my own. I ordered the light online and had it shipped to my parents house and still waited a few months to begin because I was afraid of the cops showing up lol. Some things do change for the better! Once the kids got older I built the room in the back of a large storage closet in our basement. It’s not airtight or anything so I grow in tents for easier climate and smell control but nobody knows it’s there except the wifey and myself. Looking back, I really wish I would have put a sink and a drain in so I could switch to hydro but oh well, nothing is perfect. How long have you been homegrown?
 
It will be four years in July, and man oh man has my herb game changed from the 1960s!!! There is nothing in the universe like home grown, I worship it!!!! Yeah, the sink and drain nearby are indispensible for hydro, which I dearly love.
