cali pot total for year

so I read a article this morning the total amount of pot grown in California was 13.5 Million pounds and the total amount used in Cali 2.5 million pounds

HOLY COW

So where did the rest go? I know a dummy that left Ca with a load, stopped at a truck stop, sold some and got busted with about 30 lbs!

What funny about that is the articles you read that California's having trouble stomping out the black market. Nobody wants to pay 10 bucks a gram and 20-something percent tax on something that cost a dollar or less to produce and can buy way cheaper on the street. there's a reason they can't sell all that seed to sell weed and this is a prime example of the failure of legalization and not decriminalization, all about the taxes baby

Couldn’t agree more! I paid almost $50 fo 3.5g delivered! It was great stuff, rock hard, clean and expertly trimmed... but still not worth the money. I would have to be rich to support those prices!

Greed will always get in the way. Here in Saskatchewan the average price for a legal gram is 14 dollars. No complaints in quality, just crazy pricing. Going to be interesting to see how things play out. Seems like a fail so far. Growing your own makes so much more sense.

Agreed! What also funny is the reports saying OMG the money is not there, this is not what we thought. The truth is those are the same type of people that still allowed prohibition to thrive on the local level past the 2016 legalization. Contra Costa county, for example, disallowed sales on all levels (including delivery). It just got passed into law this past month that deliveries were allowed in all of CA even in local prohibition of sales counties.
Now everyone is upset because they did the math wrong when not accounting for counties that upheld prohibition of sales past the 2016 voters right to legalization.
These morons need to stop putting booze in their coffe and WTFU.

That’s a lot of exporting!
Politicians created this strong black market in the US back when Nixon decided to oust his political enemies by making a perfectly safe plant illegal.
Now people want to complain that the beast they created is out of control. Lol
Political outlash is out of control, yet I don’t hear enough people complaining about that.
We know what the priority level has become. These types of people have really shown their true selfishness through out this entire illegal and now made to legal process.

LOL
how long does it take to get there?

Im still buying on the street, from LP and the occasional trip to the (recently) legalilzed Bud Shop

Bud Shop is a boring trip :)
last few times I visited, they had 1 Indica and 1 Sativa strain for sale (still haven't figured out supply)
Finally they have just added seeds ($60 for 4). 2 strains from Tweed (both indica dominant) /Lurking sighs

LOL I don't mind paying $15 a seed - just not these ones :D
