That’s an interesting point.
I’m lucky to be up here in Canada where it’s fully legal. Mind you We still have dumb laws like clones are just starting to be legal province by province even though we legalized in 2018.
My understanding of what looks to be coming for my American cousins in November is they’ve used wording something like the seed is illegal if it has potential to grow a plant whose content is over 0,3% THC . Where as they used to get though because even kick ass genetics don’t contain any significant amount in the seed.
Which brings us back to wondering why that same law wouldn’t include those clones whose potential would clearly be over 0.3%

Hey SoOrbudgal is that a cake plate or a clone dome in the last pick ?
I’d like to get something like that. I’ve been trying to find a 12” dome lid for a regular 10x20 tray but I can only find them in a 10 pack and I just want one

We had a local hydro store, now closed, that had all kinds of domed covers to fit over cloning trays.
Maybe you can find a good, nearby hydro store?

Ya I try to get to them when I can, but like everywhere they are disappearing. Generally, I only find the shorter 7-8” ones which just aren’t big enough for a solo cup sized pot and a good sizes clone or seedling.

I chuckled...there's lots of experience in those comments. A retired dude? Not that being retired necessarily means old but that reminded me of this, sometimes the old ways are the best ways. I think you nailed it. Seeds or clones or both? We all have our preferences. I prefer seeds. Clones seem to require another complete set of methods and equipment, maybe not but there seems to be a lot of gear for sale to grow them. The same thing can be accomplished with a seed. I'm not knocking clones or anyone that prefers them, grows them, or sells them though. The cannabis industry refers to them as clones, but perhaps we get caught up in the language because a clone is the same thing as a cutting or a start where I live.

Clone? When I was in horticulture classes (many years ago) it was referred to as asexual propagation.
