as needed or when you feel like it . main things to avoid is taking too many leafs off at onetime or over stressing the plants. any big amounts of stress in flower could affect yield. even with a photoperiod plant. once flipped to 12/12 you have a limited time until the plant will stop producing

some people prefer taking all fan leafs off in week 1-2 of flower i prefer taking off whats needed throughout the entire grow

are you in flower already. got photos ?
 
I will do one defoliation no later than the 3rd week of flower. After that I don’t like to stress the plants if I can help it.
