SOIL Burned/Curled up tips/edges with other symptoms?

Hey there! So this is my first time growing "on my own". Usually it's my husband and I together with us telling each other what to do and how to do it!

So 1St indoor grow for me.

​​​​​​These are Cherry Cookies strain I started from seed. They germinated on 11/12/17.
Currently have them in grow tent in my office with a T-5 and CFL.
They were just transplanted into 5-gallon pots about a week ago using Foxfarm soil.

Plants were looking beautiful, no issues. About 2 weeks ago I started noticing thrips. I also noticed visible chewing on the leaves which I attribute to my sons crickets that are lost in my office somewhere. So I did my best in completely sealing up the grow tent, then set a cricket trap, then skipped on down to the store to purchase some horticultural oil. I've never used it before so I read thru the directions and went to town. Next day I noticed the itty bitty tips of the leaves starting to look a little brown. Then each following day it progressively got worse. So, figuring I had overdone it as I tend to do with most things in my life, I sprayed them off with plain water and flushed them just in case it was the 1/4 strength fert i gave them.
Today I open the tent and low and behold the leaves are much worse but now are beginning to turn a lime green color. The lime green is on a select few, not all.

So here are my questions:
1. Did I overdo it and it's from spraying?
2. Or is it nute burn?
3. Is the lime green a sign of one of the above or something else entirely?
4. What do I do to correct the issue, being as though my husband has refused to help me because up until now my plants looked better than his.

First the single leaf pic looks like cal/mag deficiency to me.

Did you happen to spray them when lights were on? That can burn them up pretty bad. Normally want to do something like that right after lights out. If not I would say that maybe you just went a little bit heavy on the mix. I've never ran into this issue. From seeing other pics it is similar to burning from the spray.

The lime green looks like a nitrogen deficiency to me. They could be getting a little bit higher dose of nutrients at their age quarter strength is a little low.

Most the leaf damage on the pics does seem like it was from the crickets.

Did you get rid of the thrips with the spray?

Also did you happen to check runoff of your pH when you flushed?

I'm kind of new at this myself and just learning so maybe somebody else can hop in and help more but this is what I think is going on. Just a little above my pay grade at this point

If the oil was Neem Oil, it should be sprayed just before lights out or it will burn the leaves.

Thank you for your reply! It does look like it could be a couple different deficiencies, but what I don't understand is why they looked completely healthy and beautiful before I sprayed, to all of a sudden having all sorts of issues? Would the deficiencies show up that fast? (Like within a day of spraying I started noticing everything happening at once).
I sprayed in the evening before lights out, but I did get them heavily (like they had taken a freaking bath in it).
The reason I gave them 1/4 strength is because it was my first time even fertilizing them and didn't want adverse reactions, (even tho somehow I got them anyway).
I DID get rid of the thrips! So one step forward while I'm moonwalking backwards.
I DID NOT check runoff. Unfortunately my husband has misplaced probably his 30th pH meter within the last year & our hydro shop has been closed for extended holiday. I know I NEED to do that ASAP.

Hope that answered everything and thank you for your help! I've been growing outdoors for years and have never seen this, so I believe it's above my pay grade as well.

It was Horticultural Oil and I sprayed before lights out.

Depending on what medium you use will determine food use.

For example if you go with a nutrient rich soil such as ffof. You will not use as much food to start. In the beginning as the plant grows it will use the food in the enriched soil. If you use a soil with less nutrients you will need to add food sooner.

So a couple things at this point could cause the defincies.

1st need more nutes. Used up nutrients in the soil and 1/4 strength was a little low. That would explain them.

2nd You've reached a nutrient lockout level in your soil. As soon as you can get a tester. Feed water until you get runoff. The rule of thumb is 1/4 of your pot size of water will get runoff. So it will take minimum of 1.25 gallons to get runoff. Check this level. You're trying to hit between 6.2 and 6.7 on your runoff. Say your runoff at this point is like 7.1. Now what you would do is make up a few more gallons of water pH'd at 6. Keep watering until you are in that zone.

When you check runoff and if you are at a good level. My suggestion would be to up the nute level to 50% and add full dose of cal/mag per the bottles instructions for your next feeding.
