Bud Washing, Does anyone do it?

I've read in the past at another forum about bud washing...(https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/bud-washing.200881/) and it seems like there's still a bit of controversy over it. Some say they would never do it to their harvest, some say it's amazing.

Has anyone here done it? If so, what were your results?

Another goofy and unnecessary process that people think helps. Unless you're growing pot downwind from a dusty state highway, you can probably skip it.

Can I just throw it in a washing machine with some Tide pods? Maybe the dryer afterwards with a snuggle dryer sheet.. Poof. Washed and dried? Ok sorry just the class clown making a joke

When I harvest my outdoor grows, I will do a quick dunk and swish of colas in a 5 gal bucket of cold water. Nothing to aggressive-just want to get dust, dirt and bird crap off of the flower.
