Bud Rot means Harvest Early?

So I have 2 plants that have completed 7 weeks of flower so far one strand being Blue Dream and the other is White Widow. Their last feeding of nutrients was last week, so it’s only been a week of just ph water at 6.4-6.7. Last week the blue Dream had a bud that had rot on it, I cut it off and it’s been fine since. Today I find one bud on the white widow had rot and cut it off as well. All other buds look fine and so do the stems. I was hoping to continue to water until next weekend and did start to chop down. Only problem is I don’t think they may be ready.

white widow has about 60/40 white pistils as well as the trichomes have just started to get cloudy for the most part.

Blue Dream is about 80/20 white pistils and only about 30% of the trichomes are just cloudy. I was thinking this strain takes a full 9 weeks anyway.

upcoming weather has 3 straight days of on and off rain, although I do cover them under a tent, and then it’s back sunny again. my days here are still 80-85 degrees in the day and 65 at night. Are these signs that I should not take any chances and harvest this week

Awesome looking plants. One of the perils of growing dense buds is dealing with occasional rot. I have a few OG Kush going and it has been a battle with WPM and rot. I seem to have it under control now with leaf thinning and daily turning of my outdoor containers. None of my other strains seem to be having problems. If it were my grow I would continue as long as it is only affecting a few buds.

You're growing OGK??? Would you believe me if I told you I just put 5 regulars in water, along with 4 others of another strain? No paper towels on hand, so I'm floating.

OGK was my primary grow this season. I tried running some CBD seeds called High tide but all three were males. I also have some Raspberry Parfait, the Freaks, and my dwarf plants. The OGK are temperamental outdoors. They'll be ready to go in a week or two which surprised me but I started them too early and had issues with re-veg.

This will be the first time I try two strains at the same time. They just happen to have completely different growing requirements.

I'm in the same boat but don't have the bud rot areas...yet! Got WPM on few leaf on few plants. I got some same age as yours and i'm dragging them under a canopy this weekend still out in the open with breezy cond. but will have top covered. If at all possible leave it as Oct can be a dry month at least here in Oregon if you can get them at least all cloudy. It's up to you though, i guess trust your gut i'm rolling the dice with mine.

Thanks! And yea I think I’m going to wait the full week and hopefully see some major changes. Thankfully it was only a small area so I may be in good shape

I’m going to chance it another week and see we’re there at. I’m in the very south East so no such thing as dry here, will always be humid. But I think they can’t tough it out

They sure are pretty! Good luck and wish me luck too. Also in the humid southeast and have battled the bud rot sucessfully so far. My autoflowering 3 blue kings is so close but not quite there yet. Hoping to hang in there a little longer by checking them each day. I do wonder if the yellowing leaves close to harvest time is normal or if that indicates a problem. Advice appreciated!

Here are some branches i cut this morning to try to stop my bud rot. These small ones are clearly distressed and I will throw them away. But on the large ones, that just have the tips of the pistols starting to turn brown - do I have to get rid of them too? I broke them open and don't see anything inside. It wasn't really that clear to me if this was mold or just the normal darkening of the end of the pistols as they opened. What do you think?
