Bud growth question

This is my first grow so I have never followed a plant from seed to finish, only glimpses of other people's grows.

Do the buds continue to fatten even after the pistils start to turn?

Yes, they will put on a lot more weight in the last couple weeks.

Buds are a collection of calyx pistils grow from them as a calyx matures new ones grow around it with fresh white pistils and so on until they are done. When about 60-80% of the pistils turn and start to curl up next to the buds it's time to watch the trichomes for ripeness

Starting giving them molasses the last few weeks and they’ll fatten up and fill in

Yes they do fatten. I almost pulled one too soon on this grow. My wedding cake photo was just sitting in flower finally she's swelling once again with the double water dose then a 1/2gal of water & 1tablespoon of molasses. Boom she's bulking she's at over 65days in flower near done fast flowering strains.

Pistils die often due to wind, water and other leaves touching them. They don’t really have nothing to do with the flowering cycle except when the plant is finishing it doesn’t always make new pistils. This can be translated into all the pistils remaining eventually turn red. But some strains will make new pistils up to harvest so don’t be harvesting based on pistils

The girls are about 25 days in flowering now and yes I do give them once a week some molasse, 2 tbsp per 4 liter of water. Sure they do I got one where the pistils are turning reddish and gaining some "weight".

Thanks to all of you. I just couldn't find anywhere that fully described it.
I try to learn on my own by reading GWE tutorials and at other very good sites. Also just browsing the forum and reading the answers to other folks questions.
With the molasses do you mix that with just water then pH or with nutes and water?
I just popped 2x Northern lights and 1x 00 kush. I am trying to get a perpetual grow going so I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Sorry, I also meant to ask any certain brand of molasses?

Catfish22 as long as molasess is unsulferated makes no difference. I can't remember the why unsulfered but that's what i was told by some old growers and it's what us growers use. Me i use Gramas cause it's named after Me LOL

I use blackstrap unsulphured molasses. You can get it on Amazone.
