Bubbleponics LED lights?

Newbie to Hydroponics. After perusing techniques on GWE Bubbleponics looks to me like a good approach. My question is, after reading the Beginner LED Cannnabis Grow Setup tutorial

and then looking at the Bubbleponics tutorial

I see there are different light setups. Is it good to use the same tent setup as the Beginner LED tutorial or should I do something different for a bubbleponic setup? Please advise! Thanks!

Lights and grow medium are separate things. You can use whatever lights you want for any grow style.
 
Using specific lighting spectrums may have a small benefit in the veg stage, but the yield is always going to be tied to how 'much' light you're providing.
That means you need to determine how large an area you're growing in and then you can calculate an approximate wattage your fixture will need to consume.
The efficiency at converting watts of electricity into photons of light that the plants use varies greatly-top of the line diodes are over twice as efficient as older-tech diodes used in many economy fixtures.
A ball-park estimate would be 30 watts/ sq ft of canopy using best quality diodes(like a Samsung lm301).
Older 'blurple' leds will need to run at 50 watts/ sq ft to achieve the same light levels.
The only 'mod' I use in my main room is adding 660nm reds during flower.
 
Only thing I see is the tent you have listed has a main area of 3x3 and the light you have listed only flowers a 2x2.
 
A 3x3 would be a squeeze with 4 girls, but it's possible.
Honestly, I would steer away from any older-tech 'blurple' led fixtures.
There are plenty of economy lines that use better diodes.
A 3x3 would flower really nicely under a 300-watt fixture with good diodes.
I have a 18x30x60 tent I use for mothers/clones that I have one of my original v1 quantum boards on a 120-watt driver. Does a great job.
 
Xena, I see what you mean about coverage size. Didn't notice that, thanks. The one that's a bit larger would work for 3 x3
 
That’s what I have and I’m happy with it so far. Unless you get free shipping on amazon it’s a little cheaper at the Mars hydro site though
 
It's an extra 10 bucks for the other stuff that is bundled in with it. I'll check out Mars hydro site.
