Bright light!a bright light!!

Idk if any of y'all remember about a yr ago someone posted a link to a study done at Utah St that showed that seedlings not only can handle strong lights but actually thrive on it. I concur. These 4 are 10 days old & have been 18in away from a 150w MHydro TS 1000 since they came out of their soak & were buried.
I just threw out my cfls & T5s 😀

I agreed with you. My lights are never higher than 20 inches when seedling.

My lights are no further than 24" during germination. Never had any ill effects.

And I don't use the dimmer on my Pro series even for the germination stage.

100 watts full spectrum quantum at 15 inches when I buried them. Now flowering beautifully.

It has been my thought that if I can plant in full on Oklahoma sunshine, I can do the same under fake light. My LED stays at 100%

Its ok giving them loads of light but how much are they actualy using.Seedlings dont need that much so your just paying for and wasting electric.

Very good point george66 i'm guessing he's using it because he has no space for seperate lighting areas looks like to me?

Well they're obviously using it- they are 4-5x the size of the ones that I've started under cfls or T5s.

No tent true but no need for a separate section- just one quick grow before I have to move again 😀

They get full spectrum including IR under the LED, not so under T5 or CFL.
