It's really dependent on how much pollen each flower receives and the size of the resulting bud. You can end up with a few as 1 or 2 and as many as a dozen to each bud. What I like to do is selectively pollinate individual branches on my plants. That way I can judge the potency of the unaffected bud and choose next season's grow based on that, I will label the plant and then when I harvest the seed, label the bag I put them in correspondingly. My method of selective pollination involves nothing more than rolling a cone shaped tube from paper and wrapping it over the branch I have chosen. Using a very soft artist's brush I dip it in my harvested pollen and brush it on to the flower site. I will usually choose lower branches that tend to have less impressive colas because, well, I like to show off my big fat seedless buds. You really want to have some fun? Next grow start a few extra plants and try your hand at feminized seeds. Cloning your plants is cool too but is pretty much strictly an inside job that requires a dedicated space.
