I cut one of the little bitty lower buds and used Furley's mason jar technique for a picture. This bud wasn't nearly as frosty as the higher, bigger buds. All the hairs are orange on the top buds and, best I can tell, the trichomes are cloudy. Just showing these for opinions.

Use a split harvest...select the best top buds to cut and leave the others on the plant to mature further and gather more light

Hello purpleman I have outta need done many top cola harvest that were ready and left the rest to mature more. It will not harm the plant, but may I say those buds to me look real immature. But if you like it that way have at it.

I'll try to get a better picture of the top buds and post on here later. I've never waited till I saw amber trichomes, just cloudy. I'm trying to be patient!!

Good luck with that purpleman. Once I start seeing cloudy...I’ll check every day... if I see 1 amber, I start checking every few hours. Of course, it usually takes 3 more weeks..I’m thinking it’s as hard as a diet to stick to when compared to wanting to harvest

Yes some amber quickly when they get going and some don't amber much at all. I got a OG kush and GSC just fading away still clear barely cloudy taking forever. I just want a few amber but holy heck this grow seems like forever so i'm with ya there.

These 2 GSC & OG kush 9wks in flower taking forever. Been pinching and looping nothing but mostly clear but I got bud fresh from my pinching and it's doing the job.

So....that little bud that I photographed at the beginning of this thread. After a couple days of drying, I tried it last night. Honestly, it was as much leaves as it was bud, but it was GREAT!! Today is HARVEST DAY! FINAL ANSWER!

This piece of cola showed grey mold on stem of OGKush in flower. I check trichs 2x day now on this and GSC. So for all you newbies out there there will be times you just gotta go with your gut and cut. This version of OG said 7-9wks of flower i'm in the 9th wk and she is done in my book as of today. I will cut what bud looks done on both GSC and OG. I was just going to wait for freakin bananas LOL
