HELP! Big mistake need some advise plz

So my buddy flipped his girls 4 weeks ago. He says he's never went down there ( basement ) before or after lights came on or went off. But he did last night and to his horror the actual room light not the hps but the regular room light has been on the hole time!!. I got to see the plants and you can tell that where the branches are in the darkest spots have nugs but the closer you get to that room light the buds disappear. Is he screwed or will it fill out if left in say 3-4 weeks longer?

Howdy Buster1977, Like HappyDaze said "As long as it's growing, it's not "screwed"...just keep going." Just get them back on the proper light schedule, and PUT SOME TAPE over the light switches! LOL!!

Hey thx alot all for responding. I'll definitely tell him what y'all said. I actually took the bulb out when I was over there lol.

If You feel that You do need to check on things during the lights out time, use one of the green grow lamps, that wave length of light is not supposed to affect the plants light cycle. I keep mine hanging just outside of the grow area.

DW2 Mine's on a headlamp...I do a lot of work in the dark.
