I don't see a banana. I think what you believe to be a banana is the beginning of a sugar leaf.

It does not look like a 'nanner' to me. Even if it is, I would leave it as, I have read, that when they appear, they have all ready released the pollen. Besides, I have hade good success growing 'feminized' seeds from 'nanner'ed' plants. I have not had any male plants grow from seeds produced from a 'nanner' and there have not been a lot of seeds produced (as with male pollenated plants) by those plants.
