Ballast broke

600w ballast broke after 1 month 2 days of growing... Freaking out. It will take 1week+ to get a new one to my location literarly in the middle of nowhere. Tryed both bulbs nothing works, checked with a Voltmeter and there's no output. Got 2x250W CFLs doing the best they can. Is there any tricks getting a ballast going again?

Can't find a brand name... It sais "electronic ballast." Allready used the cardboard it came in to light a fire..

Allready sendt a mail to the supplyer but I recon they wanna look at it before sending a new, so thats 2 weeks + it's weekend atm. Real bummer ... :(
 
It's short for transformer. If you had a magnetic ballast I could help. I'LL do some research and see what I come up with.
 
If you're not worried about the warranty.
1. Disconnect all power source.
2. Make sure you did #1
3. The end with the power cord in remove the screws and look for a fuse.
4. If you find the fuse test it.
 
I bought a new one that is dimmable MH/HPS. The HPS worked fine but it wouldn't light the MH. I emailed the company and I got a new one in 2 days.
 
Yea everything else works, only the ballast got infected with malicious hardware. Can only get half of the components up in the open and there's no fuse to be seen. There are some kind of smell oozing of it, something got hot for sure..
 
Damn. Burnt smell is not good. Only thing I can say is keep the CFLs as close as you can until you get a replacement.
 
Orderd a new one,hopefully it'll arrive friday no matter how the warrenty goes..Best case i'll have 2x600w HIDs. Thanks for the help Pokedsmot! I will fill the room with tons of household lamps, some of the light must help, right? God damn i got 33 kids that's gonna light starv... Feels bad not beeing able to provide for my green family :(
 
I hope they aren't in fruiting stage. As long as you give them light they'll stay in veg and the more the merrier. I'll burn one for the delivery gods and hope it gets there before Friday.

First week of white hairs. Hoping for a delayed harvest instead of decreased yeald. Yea lets blaze one together, for good fortune all over, realy appriciate the support :) Peace
 
Lesson learned! Quite a few lessons this grow..Curious of how many bagseed-hermies that'll be stressed out of the closet
