AutoPot Photo Run

bboyfromwayback

New member
1 day old sprouts of Apple Fritter and Blue Dream from ILGM and Cheddar Cheese from Pylos. I’m still waiting for the Durban Poison to sprout.

I’ll be using AutoPots, a cocoa/perlite mix and the GH Flora trio plus CaliMagic and Armor Si.

Right now they’re under 150w T5’s, they’ll eventually be under a Gorilla Xi750.

This will be its first run. I actually ordered a Kind X750 but it was back ordered then eventually a rep called to say that light was discontinued so they were going to send me the newest version.

This light definitely has too many bells and whistles for me. I’m an old analog guy who doesn’t trust digital timers so I definitely won’t be using the digital features on this light. Complete 4x4 coverage with 750w plus separate IR and UV switches is what got my attention

I hear ya about the analog. I like technology and use it but sometimes the old ways are the best ways. I hope you have a great grow with your new light.

Thank you! I did my research before deciding on the Kind X750, hopefully this newer version performs the same 🤞🏻

There’s a lot of ‘smart’ devices in my house and they do make life easier. When it comes to timers, especially ones that could screw up my grow, I’m keeping it old school lol

The plants look good.

Do you like the new trays? With the top hat grommet on the side? I just received 4 of them.

Absolutely, the open trays suck!!! The side grommet keeps the line in place when moving your trays around. With the open trays, when moving your plants around the line would sometimes get kinked or allow the aquavalve to move and cause an issue. This design is way better imo

I started using individual 18” plant trays bc it makes identifying the leaker and the problem easier when a leak does occur. One thing I’ve realized using this system is you’ll eventually have a water leak.

You’re right about the open side and leaking. I was glad to see the new design. I’ll have to work on putting the pipe in the aqua valve. It was a bit of a challenge.

The pipe goes through a rubber grommet? Try lubricating it with glycerin. Slippery but rinses off easy with water. No oil residue.

Yeah, autopot calls it a pipe. It's really a 3/8" rubber tube/hose. Hadn't thought of glycerin, that would do the trick, spit worked in a pinch. LOL.

This is my first run with the new trays. They seem to allow more water in the tray, maybe I'm paranoid. Have you noticed anything like that?
