AutoPot Photo Run

Yup meet too
Trying to plan for warm weather drying.
I may make a “cool-bot” with an old AC. It tricks the AC into running cooler than its lowest setting

Summer harvest are challenging. I bought a 2x4 to hang my plants in that I can throw up in a room in the basement long enough to harvest properly. I’m growing in a cellar now with no ac so I’m about to shut down until September after these are finished. I miss my old house! Built a hidden grow room in the basement so everything stayed contained and it was climate controlled. Made life a lot easier

This grow is getting close to the end. I’ve cut back the nutes on all and currently flushing the Runtz. She’s all milky with a few amber so likely one day this week she’ll get chopped 👍🏻

Ya I don’t have AC in the grow and normally I try to wrap things up for the summer in April or May latest. This year a couple false starts pushed me later into the summer
I will set up Ac in a spare bedroom to do the dry so I just need to get to harvest safely

Lookin good.
Those big buds are starting to fall over. Im having that problem too.
I’m just not a fan of working around the nets, although I’m tempted to try one again next grow. I like to pull my plants out to work on them so I can get at all sides.
I generally try not to grow buds too big for mold and washing reasons

I’m not a fan of nets either, too restrictive. Currently these plants aren’t movable. If I even turn them colas start falling over 🤣 I’ve been using plant ties wrapped around my light for support but so far these stay upright propped up against each other as long as I don’t mess with them 🙏🏻 great problem to have

I’ve been averaging 30oz trimmed since I switched to the Gxi750….much more than I consume but then there’s plenty to play with 🤣

Very nice !
Think it might be chop time at my place too, we’ll see tonight.
My schedule is forcing my timing which I don’t like, hopefully they are ready 🤞

Hey bboyfromwayback I have questions about the auto pot system. Is mineral salt buildup ever an issue? Do you ever have to flush the pots to avoid mineral salt buildup? There is a valve in the feed line at the bottom of the pot which feeds water in as the plant takes it up so there is always nute solution saturating the bottom- is that correct?

Sorry for the late response, I’ve been on vacation and hardly picked my phone up for a week…much needed!!!!!

You do get some salt buildup using AutoPots which forms a crusty layer on the top of your medium and on the outside of the pots. Luckily I haven’t had any issues from it, likely due to shorter grows. My plants get 1wk to get adjusted to the system before I flip to flower bc they get too big otherwise.

After harvesting I scrape the crusty top layer off into the trash then rinse the rest of the medium really well until the water runs out clear. Once it dries I reuse it for my next run. When I started using the system in 21’ I bought two big bags of Mothers Earth Coco and just had to order another bag two grows ago 👍🏻

And yes, they’re always getting nutrients. I feed my plants from sprout until they’re ripe. Then I give it a few gallons of plain water and once it’s consumed I harvest
