(Auto) Super Soil

I’m sorry I will read from now on and not ask any questions
Questions are good. So is reading. I read about questions and answers.

You can never know enough.

BTW, your plants look like they are in full bloom or flower to me. Those are not scientific terms. I think full bloom or full flower is the plant is past the stretch, it begins to show the white hairs commonly called pistils, but are really the stigmas, and you will see the buds plump up. Just like yours are doing.

If you are growing an auto, look at the grow guide from the seed supplier. That will give you an idea of how long the plant will grow seed to harvest. I.E. I'm growing 2 White Trufffle autos from ILGM. ILGM says 80 days seed to harvest. My plants aren't going to make it 80 days. Right now they are at day 62 and covered in trichomes, but also showing some amber.

Hi, blue5895.
Yes, questions are good. In a very crude expression (apologies), I had wanted to express how much GREAT grow info is in the GWE tutorials. We learn better by doing. Reading up on one's own makes one a much better grower, faster. Again, apologies for the poorly thought through comment.

If you are stilll with me, your plants are budding nicely, but still have a ways to go. Do you have a jeweler's loupe or USB microscope yet? It is an essential tool to view trichome color changes and curled in "pistils", which are key harvest indicators. I use a loupe. Nebula has a good article on both types.

Have you thought about where you will dry your harvest? Do you have trim scissors? Have you bought curing jars, Boveda packs and some small temp/humidistats? It is best to have this on hand and ready to go at harvest. Proper drying trimming and curing are as important as growing. And, yes, lots of good articles on these topics.
Regards.

I have been using deer park spring water and I checked the ph finally and it was about 7.5 so I switched to rainwater yesterday when I watered and today it looks horrible

My 2 cents, Blue5895 you need to chill and be patient. Listen to all of what is being said and read then read some more. Ganja plants can take some physical abuses so don't be afraid to get a little ruff with them girls. You will learn from the experience

Your reply has nothing to do with what I asked . I feel nothing but negativity when I use this site . Everyone thinks they know everything and or very rude. Yaw supposed to show love and support for the newer generation trying to learn some knowledge from yaw but it’s the opposite good luck everyone thanks to the great people who have helped me and everyone else out

My runoff Ph is 5.9 to 6.0 I just put like a half gallon through her

I'm in NY, last time I checked rain water pH was 5.5
I cancelled using rainwater and put the deer park spring back in her she evidently didn’t like the rain water cause her color. So what does my input ph need to be? If I adjust it to the proper ph every time before watering will that fix my problem?

Is there a reason that you started using rain water? As gator said it can be very acidic. Having the pH jump up and down is not good for the plant. I don't grow in soil, only coco and they are a bit different. You know how to get to the main GWE site? Go there, go to the search box and type "ph in soil" . There will be all the information on managing pH in a soil grow listed in GWE articles.

I've heard of the ph is coming out low it can be hard to fix in super soil. However, if you buy spring water from the store that's typically about 7 pH and has a little bit of minerals to help buffer the pH, so it's perfect for super soil.

I've also heard the supplement Sledgehammer can be used to help clear anything in the soil so that you can change the pH more easily.

I'm not an expert but I also had trouble with ph. I ignored it at first and got deficiencies, then I started using those pH test strips and it didn't seem to help. Finally I got a pH pen and realized how off my pH was. And once I started actually giving them the right pH, both the water going in and coming out the bottom, the deficiencies stopped spreading and the new leaves are green.

I've also heard in super soil it can run out of nutrients by the end. So mixing some super soil compost with water can make a nutrient rich tea, or also adding organic nutrients, can help make up for anything that might have been used up in the soil.

Good luck! You're already doing great. And it looks like you're already at the home stretch. Buds looks awesome. Going way better than my last grow!
