Auto seeds?

I grew a feminized early miss auto on my balcony as an experiment and got 1 lowly seed. So does this mean if I I germinated it will it too be an autobloom. Also because it came from a feminized seed does that mean the seed it put out is also feminized. With my luck tho its probably not a viable seed.

Looks like a good seed. But where did the pollen come from? If it came from a different plant, it will be a toss up if it is auto or not. If it came from the same plant, a slight herm, yes, it will be a female plant because it only has that genetic combination but you are also likely to see it toss a few herming bananas.
 
I'm not sure where the pollen came from. This is the 2and summer of legalization here in Canada so I'm sure there are dozens of Male plants within a 2mile radius of me lol. It did not show any sign of a hermit. The original seed that grew the plant came from a reputable breeder **coff coff hack hack** crop king seeds. So I was a little surprised to see a seed. After 20yrs of gorilla gardening I'm JUST learning about seeds and breeding lol
 
It took me many years of growing before I started down the breeding road as well. It's amazing how far this pollen can travel, so you're probably right, that could have floated in from neighbors a mile away. If it was from a true male, that is cool because that seed now has the ability to either be male or female. If you can get other plants and then this turns out to be a male seed, you can at least make more seeds with it to get your adventure going. I prefer buying "regular" seeds for this reason. True you do waste some time growing plants that turn out male if you only wanted females, but I'm always looking for a good male. Something that has great structure, smell and in some cases resin production. If you find a winner, you can start a breeding project.
 
That's kinda the plan but I gotta get my freezer filled first lol. I have alot more learning to do yet. I kinda figured just stick a male in there and boom a million seeds. Hell's no it's just as complex as dog breeding lol. As I'm starting to figure out.
 
You are correct, it can be extremely complex when breeding for certain traits and stabilizing that in the offspring, but it can also be as easy as not pulling the male out of the room. It all has to start somewhere. A great place to start your breeding knowledge is learning about the Hardy- Weinberg model of genetic equilibrium and also about Mendel and punett squares. Search Mendel and the pea experiment.
