Auto Clones Test

LOL Rwise felt that way about the first auto i grew WTF should of grown 20 to make a lid

​ Ok, so being easily bored and naturally curious I've heard you can't train or clone autos, thought I would see what happens. Topping and tying down, again and again, mainline? quad? then what sexline?. About six weeks in I did a trim job and dropped a couple for clones. On the clones I decided to not touch em and see what would happen. I ended up with a two foot cola. Oh yeah these Sweet Tooth autos. are under a 315 lec. 20/4 hr. in 5 gal. smarty pots with my prefered soil amendment, with f.f neuts.

I found training to be great on autos, keep the canopy level and low works best. Tie em down, top em break em over

I would think a longer flowering auto could work fine if a clone is taken early enough. The fast flowering ones like 60/65days are probably not the best candidates.

I kinda feel that by abusing them at an early age turns fast flowering into not so fast.

Makes sense SoOrbudgal. Sativa take longer usually to fully flower

A little update on the clones. they are in the stretch growing a couple millimeters a day lol. still they are flowering and maybe I get a decent joint from each of them. :laugh:

Well the clones are starting to look like little miniatures and may just surprise me like the solo cup growing.

Seems pretty simple really. Cut n soak. root n plant, feed and give light, watch em grow, cross fingers and smoke some weed till they are ready.

The little cloneys are actually starting to look like something. chubby n stubby. twins but looking good.

Just my two cents but if you take off the lower growth nodes and leafs your clone will root faster (less energy devoted to new growth more to roots)
that and take the clones sooner so they have more time to grow but that’s not a bad hall for something that might otherwise had been thrown away

Hey they just do their thing and I watch. canna is an amazing plant.

Decided to harvest the clones today as they are showing mainly cloudy trichs and the leaves were starting to get crispy.
I am amazed how well they produced and it definitely was not a complete waste of time.
Wet weight at almost 70 grams so dry will be over 1/2 an OZ.
My conclusion is this only makes sense if done early in the mother plants grow and even better if it has a long grow cycle of say 80 days or more for an auto.
Can it be done. Sure!
Is it worth it? you be the judge.
