Autflowering Light Question

Hi all,
I'm relatively new and about to begin 2nd grow, while first one finishes. The current plant is not auto flowering, but my new seeds are. Here is my question:
I know you can grow auto flowers on a 12/12 schedule, which is currently where my other plant is while in flowering. Is it possible to START auto flowering plants on a 12/12 and than switch them to 18/6 down to the road once the other plant is harvested?

Thanks for any help!

I have moved auto flowers around different light schedule to fill up my tents- but not from 12/12 to 18/6.
I would however suggest that if it was a new grow- which has not pre-flowered- you may be able to do just that, assuming you have 3 weeks or less before the photoperiod (12/12) plant will finish.

Growth cycle of an auto:

weeks 1-3 vegitation stage
weeks 4-10 flower stage

Most use a 18/6 light cycle from seed to finish - Also one can follow the "stages" vegitation stage 18/6 (6500K and then flower stage 12/12 (2700K)

I use 24/7 with my auto seems to like the light anyway. Its day 41 my auto is flowering at 3 weeks now at 6 weeks. Green made it all work as my plant was damaged early on. Harvest expected in 3-4 weeks now

In answer to your question Derismith88, go for it. Do what you have to do and after harvest turn it up to 20/4.

Autos want light...24hrs of it is best....they have short lives and plants don't sleep....more light equals more growth equals bigger root bass equals stronger plant equals bigger buds equals happy customer
