Are my plants ready for harvest?

Hi again,
I'm trying to harvest at peak-thc and I have 3 different plants all different strains (jack the ripper, gsc, and tangie) here's a few trichome pics from my phone, I think I see a few Amber's but you be the judge. Thanks!
Also, tomorrow will be day 63 since I switched them to 12/12, when I read they flower in 7-11 weeks does that mean 7-11 weeks from when I switched to 12-12 or from when buds formed?

Awesome, will do - harvest set for Friday. I plan to make cannabutter and I can't seem to find a straight answer - how do I dry sugar leaves or do i just cook with them right off the plant? My strains should be 20+% thc so is it safe to assume 150mg thc/g of sugar leaves?

Just something that crossed my mind, the pics are very purpley, so doesn't that make it hard to see the colours of the trichome heads properly?

can't argue that... I have some cfl lights in my other tent I'll move them and get some pics. I read if you give your plants 3 days dark period they resonate (resinate?) so I'll take out their light and harvest Wednesday if everyone thinks they're ready. Pics coming tonight!

I was looking at one of your other posts about trich color and you said you're letting them flower for 12-17 weeks? why? mine are on week 9 tomorrow and I thought they were ready - should I be waiting another 3 or 4 weeks? they're already a week into flush and I was planning to have them cured and ready by may 29th.. this might be my ego or some bullshit but our buds look better then the top shelf shit I just bought a dispensary ffs! how could this harvest not be sick?!

Holy shit. Harvesting tonight, I just found my macro lense and theres like 1/4 amber trichs!

No man, you're totally on point with your girls. It's a matter of judging based on the strain you're growing and the breeders recommendations, and some close monitoring of the trichomes.

The thing with my girls is that I grew bagseed, and they turned out to be pure sativa landraces. It's normal for these kind of plants to take a minimal of 14 weeks to start being ready, and it's totally normal for them to take longer from all the research i've been doing.
The plant genetics play a huge part in when to harvest.
Mine have been flowering for 11 weeks now, and from judging the trichomes and bud size they still have a lot more potential to grow. I'm gonna harvest one of them in about 10 days, just to get a feel for the difference in harvesting at different times. I have a total of 4 girls, so i'm gonna harvest them incrementally, starting from week 12 all the way up to week 17.

Makes sense. I knew about different strains and flowering times but i had no idea it made that much of a difference! I spent HOURS cutting last night and barally hung half my first plant - SO MUCH BUD!! Had to invite people over to help me tonight as its sooo repetitive, the bud I cut last night is hanging upside down and I hope that one extra day to dry compared to the rest doesn't change anything.
