Are autoflowers really this small?

Hi!
So I’m 49 days into my autoflower grow and I’m starting to become concerned at the small size of my plants. They are in the flowering stage so I assume they’re done most growing horizontally. I use Fox farm soil and nutrients, have them on an 18/6 light schedule. I also tried to use LST with my guys. This is my first grow so this is all new to me but I’ve seen various pictures of other cannabis plants the same age and mine appear MUCH smaller. I even had my husband make a SCROG net but my plants are no where near tall enough to reach it, it’s almost silly looking. I’m sure I’ve made some newbie mistakes (overwatering a little, having the light too far away in the beginning etc) so I guess I just like to know if I’m the cause of these really small plants. Feedback is appreciated, it can be challenging when you have no one you can compare notes with ☺️🪴 TIA

I grew an auto that only got about 18-24" tall. How has your PH been running? What strain? What light? How far above the plants? Did you intentionally leave a lot of room in your pots? They look about half full. .

Many autos are only supposed to get 18-24" tall and finish in 60-90 days. You dont have enuf soil in your pots, they should be full or close to it. Autos that get 48" tall will take 120+ days to finish, it's all about genetics.
I have had an auto that only got 12" tall, but it was only supposed to get 12-18". How tall was it supposed to get?

you don't say how tall they are and it's hard to tell from pic. also, what type of auto is it? another thing is you can lower your net to meet the plant instead of waiting for the plant to grow into it

Plants look healthy, bit heavy in N by the looks if it. Could probably do with a bit more light. Give them some PK to help with the flowering. Try and keep temps around 24⁰C and humidity around 50% at that stage.

My plants are between 14” and 18” tall. They are 12” away from the light I have (attached pic). The biggest problem I have is I’m not 100% what strain it is. I got the seeds as freebies when I ordered from the seed bank. My ph is roughly 6.9 and no I did not intentionally leave the pots with that little soil, it just settled a lot after I transplanted them into 5 gallon grow bags. I ordered a net seeing as my scrog net can’t be lowered, it’s made of PVC pipe. It should be here tomorrow.

they may get a little taller but 18-24 is what mine were last year. as Bluey said they look healthy try your new net and see what happens. your 1st grow looks great compared to my charlie brown xmas trees. good luck

Yours appear shorter because they are trained and have shallow soil in the pot. Regardless, what you have is a short, bushy strain. I don't want to knock freebies but they're freebies. You don't generally get freebies from the top shelf selection. Fine-looking dope, however short they are.
