Anyone know what my plant is doing?

On my first grow - switched plant to flowering about 4 weeks ago. At first seemed clearly male to me, but decided to keep growing for a while longer anyway just to keep learning. About a week after the pollen sacs showed the plant started showing pistols as well so I figured must have hermied. Now about 10 days later I don't see more pistols growing and the ones already there are shriveling up and turning orange/brown. Is there a possibility this plant is really going to keep flowering or is it at the end of it's lifecycle?

Howdy crystalynn27, If the plants have set seeds (in the calyces with the pistils showing), the plant could be maturing and finishing it's cycle. I have never heard of a male plant producing pistils, but if a female plant can produce pollen (thru nanners or otherwise) then I guess a male plant could (and appears to have happened!) make pistils.
Thanks for sharing this information, I, as well as others, chop the plants down at the first sign of pollen 'balls' and never let the plant go on to see what would (or could) happen.
