I am at the end of the 4 th week of the vegetative stage. I am using the ES 180. Using happy frog soil with earth dust amendments for an organic grow. Using 3 gallon tall pots in an 18 sq ft closet. have 2 fans in the room. the light are at 49" above the plant canopy at a intensity level of a 3. If I increase it to a 4 the last 1 hr of daylight schedule on Monday. Tuesday morning after 2 hrs of lights being on it started showing signs of light stress. ( leaf edges start turning upward like a canoe). After I saw this I immediately turned the intensity back down to a 3, and by the end of the day the plants had stopped curling upwards. Can the plants be that sensitive to the light. The seeds are local, not top notch seeds. They are a majority of Indica strain. It did the same thing 2 weeks ago when I tried to increase the intensity to a 4, had to turn it back down again to a 3. I am wondering if I have to use the intensity of a 3 during the flowering stage will the plant get enough light to grow decent size buds or will they be affected by the low intensity level. Temps range from 77 to 82 degrees and Humidity levels range from 45 to 55 % during the daytime.

Well it sure sounds that way by the description you gave, without a photo but it sounds like heat an light stress. Still young plants and light distance seems far enough. A pic would help and how frequently do you water?

The plants get watered with 2 days in between. i.e. lets say I watered on a Sunday the next time I would water would be on Wednesday. I would use 1 pint of water per watering per plant. Total of 4 plants.

Yes, plants can definitely respond to environmental changes that rapidly. I cannot tell from your description but it seems like you MAY be underwatering, How much runoff do you get each watering?

I had been watering the plants once (1 pint ) each plant every 4 days, now that have started growing a little faster now I water them every other day now, there is no run off on any of the plants (4) of them. Only 1 plant is showing this symptom the other 3 plants are not being affected. The one that is showing this, but it has a lot more foliage than the other 3. So in turn it would need more water than the other 3, correct ? So I will be watering them with a little extra water and I may need to start watering on a daily basis now. So under watered plants can show signs of light or heat stress if not been given enough water to keep them hydrated. Thank you. I will try this and see what happens.

OMG, just letting you know that I took your advice from the under watering stand point. This week I monitored the soil for when it started to look dry, I added water and it corrected the problem. Now I have all 4 plants are being watered every other day 16oz Thank you unless they drink the water by late afternoon, then I'll add 1/2 of a pint again to keep it moist. Thank you very much greatly appreciated, now I can feel a little better now going into the flowering stage in 2 weeks.
