SOIL Any better?

The tall one was my first grow, the bushy one is my 2nd attempt I'm growing now.
Have I done a better job of training this time? I've taken back some of the fan leaves now ready for flower so it's not so dense as the photo.
Mainly I'm just concerned with this being a better shape than my first one.

Yes they do seem to have a better shape

I just left them to it last time but this time I tried FIMing them and doing some LST. I seem to have 3 colas on each plant, with the nodes coming from each cola.
I only took 38g from 2 plants on my first try with no training so I'm hoping for a better result this time.
