Another US state expected to legalize recreational cannabis!

On January 4, 2018, the Vermont House of Representatives passed H. 511, a bill that would legalize possession and limited cultivation of marijuana by adults 21 and older. Gov. Phil Scott has already pledged to sign it after it passes the Senate in one last procedural vote. Although eight other states have legalized marijuana by ballot initiative, this will be the first time any state legislature has ended marijuana prohibition through the legislative process rather than by a vote of the people!

Gov. Scott vetoed a similar bill, S. 22, on May 24, 2017. However, he agreed to work with the Legislature to reach this compromise, which passed the Senate on June 21, 2017 in a slightly different form.

It is uncertain times....... i wouldnt worry abut it too much. The industry has gotten very profitable and people no longer view weed as evil.... as least not in the numbers they used to.

Jeff just opend a door for us to reschedule and nothing more. ....... believe you me it will be rescheduled becausethere is to much money in the market and the public sees it... the states want their cut.


Sessions is a dinosaur and hes out of touch with reality...... he will get his walking papers soon enough.
 
Morning AlaskaGreen, yes he is of the old style of dinosaurs, not the new dinosaur style ,which is slightly better.
Legalize it in every state, not just a few.
 
Cross ur fingers for my state we're still in the dark ages bit its lookimg really promising for medical to be passed this year
 
personally, I think Sessions made a deal with fentanyl-based Big Pharma's Insys (and others) to clear the field for their synthetic THC & CBD drugs & to try and slow/stop legalization's spread in rescinding Cole. Insys is currently under investigation for illegal opiate distribution practices. Sessions and Co. would rather not pursue suits against these companies (other investigations are ongoing) as a courtesy/deal but needs to quell public awareness of the opiate companies illegal practices that caused the opiate problem. Instead of heads rolling, they'll calm down a bit but they want the feds to start putting pressure on the open cannabis market and it's research so they can get a leg up with their synthetic drugs.

It may prove to be totally ineffectual as states and senators are willing to back legalization and further research. At the same time they are being pressured by their communities to do something about the opiates, so taking the viewpoint that all "drugs" are part of the problem may make for sticky forward movement. Massachusetts towns are already voting out rec dispensaries, limiting the number to under 5 statewide at the moment

No doubt u think our government and big pharma is gonna let honest ppl who grow honest medicine corner this market hells no sane thing with ethanol and Rockefeller kinda crazy he needed 10 yrs to figure or what to do with the byproduct of crude production tada gasoline ppl when we used to run the vehicle off of renewable ethanol but that's our illusion if freedom friends
 
In deference to Nebula and Sirius we really should abstain from too much political debate. There were a couple of threads that got out of control yesterday, and disappeared into the ether. We can all agree on weed, but politics/religion can be emotional subjects, Some will get hot under the color, like myself, and go too far. I apologize for my ranting.
 
what kind of seeds you got Spanky I have alot of seeds from two grows where a male was not found in time but all good strains ,I keep growing them anyways lol
