You might very well be! I'm looking into COB's. did you look into those before you got the LEC?

Full spectrum LEDs during flower. Big heavy square things. They do the job but put out a lot of heat. And because we don't have a SOG, we have some of our T5 fixtures that we used during veg, hanging down along two sides to try and get the lower buds.

We use 6400K T5s for veg, then switched to 3000Ks for flower.

So many different light choices. It took us forever to figure out what was best, and we wasted money on some we ended up not using. It can be confusing.

Not sure about yeild yet this is my first grow with it.

I have counted at least 80 tops...
Hopefully the yeild kills it!!

Just to give an estimate about the electricity costs for a 315 LEC

If you're running it 18 hours/day you'll be running it 558 hours/month (18 hours/day x 31 days - 558 total hours with the LEC turned on). The total cost of electricity each month depends on the cost of the electricity where you live. In the flowering stage you're only using the light for 12 hours/day so it will cost less during that stage!

Cost to run 315 watt LEC (CMH) grow light:

• $11/month - At $0.06/kWh (lower than average) + $6/month for exhaust fan
• $21/month - At $0.12/kWh (average for US overall) + $11/month for exhaust fan
• $44/month - At $0.25/kWh (average for US cities) + $23/month for exhaust fan

I though it might be helpful to include the cost to run an exhaust fan in case you plan to use one A really good exhaust fan uses around 120 watts and is on for 24 hours/day, so I estimated the electricity amounts for that too!
