Alternate forms of CO2 and fertilizer

One early method I used of trying to kill fungus gnats was by igniting propane in my soil. Poked a hole in the soil, put the propane nozzle in the hole, packed a little soil around the nozzle, and turned on the gas. When I figured the soil was plenty saturated with C3H8 I pulled the nozzle out and put the electric spark to it. It didn't do a thing for the fungus gnats but it was pretty freaking cool little flash fire. I'm only telling you this because it show's how far I will grow to try something different.

I used to know a person that sprayed their weed with coca cola, we called it cola weed. His claim was the plant grew and produced more, my thought then and now is/was the only thing it did was add sugar (not trics) to the buds making them heavier. The taste was enuf for me to not do this!
