COCO COIR African Gas

They look thick and healthy, golf! I also broke a branch a couple months ago. Just snapped. That’s a good idea,to practice on one that’s going to be removed.

14 days after the flip. There hasn't been much of a stretch just yet. The front girl, Tina, is about 2-3" shorter than her tent mate, Louise. Tina's PPFD at the center of the canopy is 748. Louise, measured in the center of her canopy is 840 PPFD. Temps are running 80f lights on 70f lights off. RH is up and down in the mid to high 50's. I think it's time to crank up the dehui's in the lung room. The RH needs to nearer to 50% right about now.

Over the past two weeks the veg nutes have been phased out and the rez EC increased to 2.0. The girls will be on Flower nutes til the end. I'm running tap water with a starting EC of .2. I bump that up with Cam/mag to .4 to buffer the solution and give the rest of the nutrients something to bind to. Then add base Coco A&B at 2ml/L, Bloom enhancer, Head Masta, Wilt Gard, and ReGeneRoot at 1 ml/L and Bio Balance at .2 ml/L. I mix nutrients in 10 liter batches for easy application rates.

I'm still learning the manifold process but I like the way these plants are looking. Their leaf tips are just turning yellow. I think I have found their nutrient tolerance. I was planning to defoliate at the 21 day mark from the flip. These girls are bushy. Should I wait to see what happens with the rest of the stretch or go ahead and defole at the 21 day mark regardless?

They look beautiful !!!! I know me giving advice to you is silly but I’m going to give my two cents to see what it’s worth LOL i would at least give them a trim on the bottom , to help get them some oxygen. I would also listen to someone other than me cuz i don’t know much 😂 They look great golf!

Thx AMP. Don't sell yourself short. My gut tells me I should defoliate at 21 days. With your .02 I think I will.

I feel the same as AMP giving you advice but it looks like your rocking and the point of the manifold is concentrating growth to your main buds so I’d say the defol is also focusing growth energy. You know the old saying “we ain’t growing leaves”

Yesterday was 21 days after the flip. I gave the girls a defoliation but not quite a scwazzing. I think next time I grow this cultivar I will remove more growth in veg. I pretty much left these girls alone until now. The bushiness was difficult to deal with. Next up is a final trim in about 3 weeks and the PK load beginning the 6th week of flower. So far so good i guess. I did not notice any gasoline smell. I hope that comes as the flower period develops.

You can feel the love by looking at them. Looks like you are hitting your stride with the manifold, nailed it

Ckbrew I'm still learning about the trellis. Should I leave it where it is? It is right on top of the plants. One of the buds made it's way through the net. I take that as a sign of a speedy recovery but I don't know if the buds from these girls will be short and fat or what.

I usually wait till after stretch then lower the net then bend them over. If you just let them grow into the net move the branches to they are spread out not all bunched together.

Tina and Louise have had a rough couple of weeks. Leaves wilting, pale green, yellow leaves starting at the bottom of the plant and moving up. Thought I was dealing with a nitrogen deficiency caused by a lockout. Turns out it may have been a PH problem caused by mis-calibrated equipment. When I recently calibrated the PH probe for the rez controller not sure what I did, but something happened. That probe was off by 4 points. I run my rez at 5.5 to 5.6 PH and use the controller to set the PH when I mix nutrients. I have a PH pen that I use as well. I noticed the difference but thought the controller probe was correct because I had just calibrated it. Bottom line is the probes are all calibrated in the same solution and now read the same. All of the equipment got a wash and is sparkling.

Without knowing the PH probe was off I tried everything I knew to fix the problem. Today, I finally did a not-recommended for autopots top down flush of 15 gallons each pot with a weak nutrient solution. I verified the flush by run off EC and PH being the same coming out as going in. I put the system back together and as I made a new nutrient solution for the rez, realized the problem with the PH readings. I have been kicking my own ass. I despise that with a white hot passion.

In spite of the PH issues the flowers are getting fatter. I hope to start the PK load in a few more days. I have my fingers crossed I've corrected the problem.

I had the same issues with my ph pens a couple weeks ago but luckily caught it after couple waterings. Best laid plans lol Good job finding the issues and getting those girls back on track. Lessons every day I've learned to always assume it's ph first cuz I'm pretty good at measuring out my nutes and only feeding every other. Ph is the only part of growing where I'm relying on something else to tell me it's correct. Calibrating is annoying. Cant wait to see how they repay your love and attention to detail ❤️
