Advice On Harvesting

I'm just coming up to harvesting my first grow. I'm a complete newbie and probably made plenty of mistakes along the way, but somehow seem to have managed to have raised a half decent crop of indoor grown Sour Diesel. The thing is and this is probably strange to some, I don't intend to smoke any of it ! Instead I want to make edibles, concentrate and tinctures.

My question is - given I do not intend to smoke my crop are there any short cuts I can take in the trimming and drying process ? Probably a silly question, but any help would be much appreciated.

If it were me, I would harvest as if you were going to smoke-including the curing stage. the cut offs, or sugar leaves, I would let them dry as well. The quality of the edibles, the oils and tinctures will be dependant upon the quality of the weed. Sugar leaves dried and cured will make a good tincture but, a tincture made from a properly dried and cured bud will be superior. Have fun!

If you want to make some tincture, the cure isn't really necessary. Curing makes Cannabis smoke a lot smoother, but if you decarboxylate some of your bud now for edibles or tincture, it will be perfect. You do have to decarb the weed for tincture: https://www.growweedeasy.com/how-to-decarb-weed
