Adding some light

Was thinking about some led strips or maybe a couple smaller cobs.

basically im just wanting to add some light on the sides of my grow tent, the lights I have in there now don't really penetrate anything outside a 2x2 area. Thinking about hanging them closer to the walls and angling them inwards towards the girls.

Right now now I have a 600w hps and a 1200w COB (220 actual watts) in a 4x4x6.5 tent

right now I was thinking about getting 2 of the Morsen 600w cob that runs 96watts
 
More light never hurt anything however, your 600 watt HPS should be sufficient for that size tent. Just my opinion but your money might be spent better elsewhere. Maybe a separate vegging tent 🙃 post some pictures of your setup someone might have a better idea ☮️
 
I'll post a picture in the morning, I have a separate tent 36x36x60. It's not being used just bc the wife doesn't want me to have more than 4 plants (5 is a felony in Ky) and I already started 4.
 
But I did lose one bc it was a male so I only have 3 growing.. and I did get my NL auto seeds in the mail earlier this week.... and I have some KindSoil and FFOF so I might take that 220w cob and put it in the smaller tent and start an auto.

But it seems like my 600w hps just doesn't get good coverage. I have it at 12in, reading 72,000lux but anything outside like a 2x2 area is getting shit light. I know it's bc I have the light at 12in but my girls are loving it there and the lux meter is reading good at 12in so I don't want to raise the light any just to get a bigger footprint, id still like to add some extra light to the sides of that tent.

But now you guys have me wanting to start that northern lights auto, would it be a shock to my girls if I took that cob straight out of there though? Or should I keep it on for like 6 hours today and then 3 hours tomorrow and then take it out??
 
Wow! You can legally grow 4 plants in KY??? Here in VA just 1 is considered manufacture with the intent to distribute!
 
I wouldn't think that would shock nothing removing that cob, but I thought you could grow 12 plants in Kentucky, Any amount you can grow is lots better than where I live, you go to prison here, unless you got big bucks, they like money ,an taking family farm land that's been in the family 300years, they don't mess around. We got our fingers crossed.
 
I'm thinking around 200-250, those strip leds that ojh recommend seem pretty legit, they are 50 actual watts rated 108w great reviews and only $60 per strip.

Thinking about getting 3 strips and putting one on each side of the tent (obviously not where the door is) facing inward towards plants.
 
@D.a.as damn I wish it was 12. My dad and step dad are actually both police officers in my area (both know I grow) and they both look out for me. But they aren't too bad about it where I'm at in Ky. Now I'm sure if the law found someone growing like 30-40 plants that'd be a different story. Lol
