Ok stoners and growers... I've got a bag of Roots Organic Original and I need to make it stretch.! I know it's already got Coco Coir added but would it ok to add more Coco Coir to it to increase the volume.? And how much should I add to 1.5 cubic ft...? Oh and a side note.! I will be also using Nature's Living Soil in this mix as well...

WoW gonna fill alot of containers eh? I'd do 16quarts of other soil and extra perilite stones watch out for knats in that roots organic not a biggy just nuisence. Just gotta keep that mix aireated  good luck

Well as far as the fungus gnats go, I've already got them lol I've been battling them little bastards for 2+ years now.! Nothing works.! I mean you name it I've tried... No, neem cake doesn't work either... Anyway so no to extra Coco Coir and just add extra soil instead.?

Sorry yes to 16quarts of coco is what i ment to say if your adding to coco already also the extra perilite stones add also. If you need to recharge old coco i always add worm casting. I reuse mine 2x . Yes i have found gnats in composted soil mix when it's not broken down enough seems like. Fruit flies i've put lite layer of damascus earth ontop of soil that's about all ive done.

I got rid of my fungus gnats, and I had 1000's, by nit iverwatering them..that worked..all gone

You mean by not never watering them.? ("by nit iverwatering them") if thats what you meant than Ive tried that too and the plants started to die instead lol dude I have tried everything that I can find on the net and without success... I been growing for years and Ive never had fungus gnats until i went totally organic a few years ago... They are a pain in "thee" ass.! Right now I have them under control and thats about as far as I can get with them

The breakdown of organics with the microbes gives identical nutes in every way to synthetics, they are the identical compounds.

Adding fan(s) to soil level of the tent and having a strong exhaust fan will help alot. In the airborne part of their life they get sucked into carbon filter and don't make it back to soil to reproduce
