Adapting a Secret Jardin Light Baffle

Has anyone adapted one of Secret Jardin’s ducting flanges to another brand tent? I have a Gorilla GGT55 and was thinking about the possibility of replacing one of my bottom draw cord openings with their light baffle. Then I could close up the little square window I use for air intake. The GGT’s poles are 22mm and SJ’s largest flange I believe fits 25mm poles. If the arms don’t line up the ring with the tent’s current hole position, I could remove any arms that prevent it. The flange’s ring looks sturdy enough with 8 screws. I could even reinforce the flange ring to the tent with silicone adhesive should I have to remove all the arms.

I just setup my Secret Jardin Propagator 90 tent for a mother, clones or seedlings. It came with the smaller size light baffle. Their user placeable vent/cable holes are my favorite part. Pretty ingenious.

The light baffle is made up of 4 discs each with slanted louvres and what looks like open cell foam. Each disc takes a 180 degree turn to the previous one. With my room lights off I cannot see any light leaks from this baffle!

All the 2-part frames are the same part. Depending on the tent size they provide whichever duct outlet you need. In this case it was a 4” duct ring that twists into place. These duct rings and baffle are all interchangeable.

The last outlet was a 3’ two part ring that screwed together. One side had the duct sock. I placed it dead center at the back where my wall outlet is. They should make mini light baffles in this size that you could place all around your tent, doing away with those dumb “air” windows at the bottom of three sides on my Gorilla tent.

I really like the two little bluetooth Govee hygrometers I have in each tent. I walk by and the days data loads.
