Abuse by Neglect Grow

I have roughly 60 days to go on my last grow of the year- some extra soil & a strain I have never grown.

Northern Lights Auto by seedsman is a 55-60 day plant with low nutritional needs, my 3 gallons Roots Organic Original should carry it.
I have a corner in my 2x4 tent under 200w (total) CoB&ChilledLogic puck- so will only use overlap/indirect light.

I plan on doing as little as possible and expect the same in results- Lets see what happens!

6 oz plain water over seed and 2 oz in outter germbag.

Placed a 5 oz plastic cup over the seed and banished to the corner of the tent @ 20/4 schedule.
I'll check for a sprout in 3-4 days!

THAT'S IT- water and top if needed.

Good catch way to stay on top of "neglect" LOL it's that simple when good growers pay abit of attention and have some knowledge of growing.

I looked under the cup last night! (day#4).
I would guess- by the stretching for light- it's been above ground for 1 day.

Removed cup/dome.

I watered with just 1 teapsoonful (5mls plain water) over the seed helmet (to soften) and at the stem.

Time to let it dry out for 4-5 days, so it doesn't dampen off.

She's an ugly duckling for sure!

growing well, so I moved her closer to the light!

Normally, I would be all over this with Si and CalMag- but not this time.
Let's see if she outgrows this!

See attached. What’s your guess? (Assuming ours are suffering a similar fate)

Ya know fellas I have one large branch with that mottling since in july on a burnt cookie strain. I've not seen it go anywhere but on that one plant and branch. The buds aren't any smaller or seem to have been effected at all. I don't know what it is I thought TMV but honestly I don't know it's not seemed to harm the plant at all for me.

Mine is getting worse. More mottling, leaf texture degrading, physical deformations to leaves. Seeing it now on plant next door. Hoping it halts there. Waiting and watching and crossing my fingers that someone here has an answer.

I just went outside to empty the f-ing rain off the canopy looked closer at it again. It has not gone to any other plant it is only on one large brance the leaves now have a more lighter more off tan look with mottling?? The buds are smaller at closer inspection look almost like first budlets appear. So it is affecting the quality of the one branch i'm contemplating removing it. Damn it's a tough year for me here, my others are getting worrisome with this early rain.

WP, that's the kinda stuff I'm seeing on more and more young plants. I'll see leaf mutations during veg, and then it goes away. Keep the faith, baby! s62 This is what I'm talking about in that genetics topic I posted.

SoOrbudgal, I have been using plain water- brita filetered for chlorine, 36ppm and a pH running 5.5-5.8 usually. No nute until last night when I added a small feeding dose of GH micro- before/after pics in a few days

alltatup, after you said this I looked and it is a mutant- with 2 sets of single leaves and the first real leaf set at the 3rd node. In the past I have had a Jack Herrer that looked like this, but grew out of it in a few weeks. I suspected stress & watering practices or lack of in this case, lol
