A question for my bubbleponics growing buds...

Fellow growers, getting ready to start my second DWC grow based on the bubbleponics setup on this site. Once your roots reach the reservoir, do you guys leave your top drip system running or do you pull the pump out altogether and just use the air stones?

thanks...

Once roots are established in water, you don't need top drip, but it doesn't hurt to keep it. (In fact, if you have the lowest hydroton balls immersed in the water, they will wick water up to the top layer so that top feed is not needed at all.)

Howdy Buffo420, I leave my pumps running until the root ball 'chokes' them off, then I un plug them. It may not be necessary to let them run after the roots reach to water level in the reservoir, but I feel that it helps to keep the roots moist and it does tend to promote new root growth. Kind of a "six of one, a half a dozen of the other" situation.
I, personally, do not like to disturb (or damage) the root ball, by trying to remove the pump and lines from the reservoir.
