alltatup I don't think I even know what state or what part of the country you're in!
If only I could figure out how to dry my weed :). I don't have ac or a dehumidifier and we've had wicked humidity, continuing through the weekend. Have about a 6 hr window from 10am- late afternoon in which the humidity is below 60%. Usually I'm trying to slow down the drying, having such arid conditions in the house from the woodstove in the Spring. I have a fan blowing on it,day six from cutting it down, no crunchiness of the missed (before final trim) sugar leaves yet. I'm open to suggestions. The fan should keep away mold issues--I hope.

GreenState I think I'm about a thousand miles south of you, in the dirty south. But never mind the firewood: I've got around 1.5 cord to get me started this fall.

If you want top shelf bud, you have to create top shelf conditions. Not everyone is as obsessive compulsive about this as i am, but you need a dehumidifier to bring humidity to 50% for drying; 60% is a little high. And you may need a humidifier in your grow room in the winter--especially during vegetation. You know they can handle drier conditions during flower.

I had to buy all this equipment to get my grow room and drying room right: humidifier, dehumidifier, oil circulating heater for winter nights in the grow room (I hate a hot house in winter), chillers for my hydro reservoirs, and I already had the ideal curing space in a closet in the coolest room in the house. So I got cut a little slack there. I also got some solar panels to cut down on elec. bill, and got 45% of price back from govt. I always say, this ain't no cheap hobby, not if you wanna grow the best bud.
 
alltatup Thanks for the input. You grow weed like I do firewood (lol). But dealing with my current reality, found 6 boveda packs, so figure I'd put the weed in a gal ziplock (looks to be about 2 oz of weed) and the 6 packs and see what that does. Been air drying for 7 days now. When the going gets tough.................;) Expecting tropical conditions here for another week anyways.

GreenState, I have been using Boveda packs for about 6 months and double check them with my mini hygrometers. The packs do a great job and I have year old weed in jars that is super fresh to use and tastes good even after all this time. Although I have the problem of very dry conditions as opposed to your tropical ones.
 
JohnEmad I had the boveda humidipacks leftover from last year. I bought a 10 pack of 62% ones and planned to use them for longterm storage, but came to the conclusion that they kept the buds a little to damp for my liking. Hoping they will aid me in drying my current weed which has been a battle! Just laid out the weed in front of my propane heater for a quick blast of warm air after it spent the night sitting in a sealed ziplock . Also took the boveda packs and placed them in the oven for 5 minutes to draw some of the moisture out of them. Now all is back in the ziplock. Will repeat as needed...Quite the process (lol), but now pretty close to where I want to be, before jarring it up. Looks like a window of drying opportunity this afternoon with humidity forecast to be closer to 60% around 3-4:00 pm, fingers crossed :)

Ya - but he's a nice looking criminal - like anyone's neighbor.
At least our leader has done something about this ongoing virus - not dismissing it as a 'Kung Flu".
 
@Bowhunterwoody...that was sarcasm. Trudope just banned another 1000 plus guns because they look frightening or have a scary name. I suppose it could have been a handgun, that guy was good...He had to get out of his car, open his trunk, unlock the gun case, unlock the trigger lock, unlock the ammo case, load clip or chambers, then he's ready to go. I think even Fat Pat could have waddled away before that transpired....
 
Perfect stacking for air flow and drying!.. Will your new delivery be dry enough for burning in the fall? jeez thats alot of wood. lol. I have a fireplace..pretty much useless but looks nice.ha I get my wood from a small sawmill close by..just slab wood(maple,cherry,walnut) not de-barked..dirty. but its free.
