A place to post your OT photos

GreenState what do they pay for a cord of wood where you're at? I shudder to ask, thinking of what I have to pay (but don't feel guilty or nothin, I keep my wood stove burning even if there's no food in the house.... )
 
Between 140. And 160/ cord ( 4’x4’x8’) delivered within 10 miles ....and, if they deliver in a pickup truck and it doesn’t have 2 foot tall side extensions filled to the top, you not getting a full cord
 
alltatup Difficult to say as I don't buy cord wood and prices very widely. I'd guess between $225 up to $300, even higher. I live in an area of lots of second homes, so everything is more pricey here. At Farmall's 140-160 I'd buy it :) --if I could get it at 20" length.
 
She's about 40 years old, showing lots of new growth shoots this year. Branches are getting heavier :)

Wood around here is all oak... in Vermont we’d get an assortment out in the woods cutting..Birch was always nice but maple is like oak here. Had an Elm tree once. It was so curly splitting it was a chore. Those days we did it by hand..Hell I was 20 and thought of it as an accomplishment :)
 
Oh hello Farmall I was thinking you were doing lots of chores on the farm and busy why we've not seen you? Hope all is good in your neck of the woods, glad we are 4hrs from the big city right now LOL. Stupid folks......be safe we still practice it.:cool:
 
SoOrbudgal blue-jays can be a problem at times, usually late in the season when I've had my fill of berries (lol).
JohnEmad nothing compares to wild berries for sure! (same goes for wild strawberries) But at least this bush is about 40 ft from kitchen and cereal bowl :) I may take down my plants today, but wishing the weather was a bit better (lower humidity)
 
Live next to a Wild Life Management area, we have a 20 acre buffer between our property and the WMA that we lease, we can take any and all dead wood out of the property and hunt (No feed plots). If you want to burn pine...... I have a bunch :-), few water oaks (Rotted inside).
 
Now that has gotta suck, my first year I did a route 66 drive to NM (Ended up in Durango with my brother, but that's another story). I still get up early, I guess I always will.
 
Well...thank you for thinking of me.... yes, much busier that I would have thought. My days are pre-occupied for the first 4 hours of the day due to transportation obligations for a sick family member and then I get home to typical chaos. Garden is doing well..but took a few extra weeks for the zucchini to start putting out female flowers but it’s finally straightened out. Many of the people I know working from home tell me that they are busier now than when they wenT to work in a building. I get the feeling I can also make that comment. Between emails and running around..when I look at the time...it dinner time and we eat around 8pm
