A new grow, GG#4/WW/BW

Rained out today, so curiosity got the cat. Took the weed over to my buddy's to weigh it.
The white widow plant yielded 115 grams and it is pretty well dry, I'm happy.
On another note, seems to me the boveda packs(62%) keep the weed a bit damp for my liking. Is it just me?
 
I personally never add humidity packs unless I plan on storing for a long period and even then I don't put them in till a couple weeks or a month after jarring. I think they make the weed taste different.
I use fresh fan leaf if I need to bring up the humidity in a jar.
 
Thanks Mr Furley. I did wait a few weeks to add the packs to the GG4 &BW, most of it will be stored for a longer time (needs to last until this time next year). I took the packs out for now and placed them in a plastic bag.
I don't have any fan leaves, but I do have 150 shares of UBER @ $42.00/sh, I bought just before noon (g). I can get myself in trouble on these rained out days!(lol)
 
Is that a hint? I can hear you thinking, jeez the guy is out buying shares of stock and he grows weed with a frick'in parking lot flood light! (vgb)
 
115g is nothing to shake a stick at, what ever gets it done. I was speaking more for myself to not buy another hlg-100 this week.
 
No different than a jar the first few days. Basically distributing the moisture content evenly between and throughout the buds, burping as needed. I suspect over a longer period of time the ziplock would leak moisture unlike the glass jars. All that said, it went in jars this morning, 4 1/2 qts.
Such a huge difference in drying this last one as I haven't had the woodstove going. This time of the year I can watch the gaps in the woodwork in my house shrink up as the humidity level inside comes back up.
Off to look at a potential job this morning, 100 yo log cabin with a shitty block foundation, crawlspace.
 
good luck on the job thats something I'll have to tackle someday I have one end of my barns footing is below ground and the support beam has been slowly rotting away

I think they are the funnest looking deer ever lol ,I had a cow and 2 calfs walk out in front of me coming home from fishing ,I saw her in time and stopped when she saw me she stopped it was pretty cool , I had a young bull at 10 yards quartering away at full draw and I let him walk so I passed my ethics test lol I will be glad when they start hunting them down here not to shoot one but to beat them at there own game , I have had lots of opportunities to harvest dear over that last few years but choose to let them walk knowing I had the shot is enough for me until shotgun season then its time to fill the freezer lol
 
I tend to hunt with my camera now, that first pic would have been the kill shot at about 100yds.
Around here some call the moose swamp donkeys!
 
Soooo. The GG4 very immature seed I manged to get sprouted(from my winter grow) has been a slow grower, but think she's finally getting her sea legs. (sea pic).
My dilemma, I'm heading down to the sunshine state for a week and am worried about her drying out while I'm gone, not sure I can have anyone water it or not.
She is going to need transplanting soon, should I do it just prior to leaving? My thinking being she will be in a little shock, so may not need as much water?
Any opinions would be appreciated, the larger pot will hold more water as well. Just sprouting the 3rd node (and she is almost 3 weeks old--very slow starter, hopefully a strong finisher. (she's a deck plant)

Went ahead and transplanted the gg4. Now it has to fend for itself for the next week plus. Fingers crossed.
Note the deformed first set of leaves, super fat(g). She seems to be coming around, will top her when I get back (between 5th and 6th node). I say "she", I hope it's a she!
Blueberry bushes are doing well, bit behind this year.

Hi GreenState just a thought about going away.. you could place a drip pan under your container water really well and place it in a shady area if the heat is too much of a concern while away? It's what I did to mine when we left for 5 days. They did just fine. I love the blueberries, I do have 3 plants but never get enough between us and birds so I just got some sat. at our local farmers market size of a dime most of them.:tasty::tasty:
 
haha I know what you mean chip monks got all of my strawberry plants I fight with the birds over the cherries and the grand kids eat all the blue berries ,I planted the BB for them lol, many years ago I sent some of the grand kids over to the cherry tomatoes and they cleaned it off they ate everything red or not ,I would of sworn they hadn't eaten in a week lol
