A male and femised seeds

Hi I here asking what would be the result of pollinating femized plants with a male.how would the offspring strike back?with hermies.i know you would get back males and females but with a change of hermies

Since there isnt anything unnatural or "weird" about your female it will cross with a male and produce roughly 50/50 offspring.

I don't think letting your female get pollinated will result in seeds that will tend to hermie, as opposed to seeds that came from a hermie.

I think humble is asking about using feminized seeds to breed with. While there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer from my research, some have claimed to have normal results when breeding a feminized seed with a male. The long term effects are unknown however. I have heard from breeders to never use feminised seeds to breed with. Something about missing alleles. It's also said to dilute the gene pool if the cross is put out to the public to further perpetuate the genetic defects, if any.

Bottom line to me, with so much controversy on the topic, better safe than sorry. Use regular seed stock to breed with, IMO.

This is a very good point. I didn't even pick up on the 'feminized' part of original post. I was just thinking a female plant.
