6th week of flower buds have no smell

Alright so im in the 6th week of flower an my buds are fattening up but not smelling hardly at all. The small smell i do manage to get is a fruitful earthly smell. Could it be something I've done wrong? Could this be an
 
I think it depends on the strain I've had some that didn't smell at all then some that started stinking in Veg. if you touch a bud then smell you fingers can you smell it then, what is the strain?
 
Howdy HL420AB, How are You growing (hydro, soil) and what are You feeding them? Hydro grows tend (from what I have read) to have less aroma than soil grows. My current DWC grow is in the middle of it's second week of flower and is producing an aroma, though not very strong, but they have not produced any pistils yet. I am growing in soil. Using the Flora trio pack. 600 watt hps light with reflector I have pictures if needed. Pistils are covering buds trichomes are beginning to look milky all over just no marijuana aroma
 
Terpenes and terpenoids which are the chemicals that give bud their smell are not related to potency just flavor. Some strains are naturally less smelly. Plants may release more terpenes in hotter environments so if growing in a cooler location you may also have less smell. No real effect on THC content but I personally enjoy smoking weed that has a strong smell and flavor. (Currently curing some Mango Skunk and I just love opening the jars to smell.) A fruit like smell can be normal. That is why so many strains are identified by their fruit smell (Pinapple Express, Raspberry cough, Lemon Haze etc.)
 
I'm in my 10th week of flower with a 100% sativa strain, and it doesn't smell at all. Not a bit. Just like grass...
 
I was out in the side yard where my vent is and it smelled like a skunk was just there so they are getting ready,a week maybe, funny I have a new carbon filter at the other end there shouldn't be a smell maybe the filter has a max amount of stink it can remove lol
