I dont understand what you mean by after removing top feed. Are you planning on removing it? i would wait until the roots are in the res water before removing the top feed system. After that you can remove it but it's not necessary. Once the roots are in the water you dont need to keep the hydroton wet at all. It gets it's water from the roots in the water not the clay pebbles.

Got ya, yes I meant remove top feed, water pump, and manifold after my roots hit the water and are strong and I move them to their individual 10 gallon reservoirs. No need for all that taken up space after it's no longer of use. Sorry for the unclear question on water level. How far beneath the bottom of your net cup is water level? 1 inch between water and bottom of net pot? Basicaly how much air space between water level and bottom of net pot. Lol

If you have airstones you dont technically need any space...however, there is no benefit to filling them to or past the net cup once the roots have hit the water. In a 10 gal with air stones, i would leave a little space between the net cup and the water level so long as the roots are in the water, but it's entirely preference at this point.

Right on! Thank you for your help. I will give it a little space once roots hit the rez. I'll keep her to the bottom of the net cup and just slowly lower rez level as roots grow until I have a small space. I do have two of the big 4inx2in stones so thats more than enough with a 32w .02mp 6 outlet air pump. Bubbles will burst up to an inch and keep them all nice and wet. How do I give you rep or something.. I've just gotten great at soil growing over the years through my own trial and error never asking on forums. Your the first person to help me on the first question ever. Lol. Glad it wasnt those hater ppl that just say your dumb and are mean. I thought we all smoked to be chill and relax but it's all good. Thank you again for your help. Dont mind if I bother you here and there down the road do ya? Not stupid ppm or Ph or EC questions I already know, but legit questions like fine little details that you cant find info on except from experienced people.

We are a laid back kind of group here. That's why i like this forum. The only way we learn is by asking questions. This forum and the site attached have a lot of good info, and the forums have a lot of experienced growers.
