These girls germinated at the beginning of August, and are doing quite well. The new grow box shows much more aggressive growth than the old box, although all plants with the exception of White Widow are the same age, with WW a week younger. I completed 3 years of growing at the end of July, so this is my first senior year grow. My goal: MORE POT AT HARVEST TIME!!!!!

Ohh my she's at it again LOL I believe your gonna like that jack herer. OK Alltatup i'mma gonna root for ya sending weed fairy to bless your grow for a record harvest this round. Day off Friday so every thing is groovy, you have a great weekend !
 
HD, I put them in Root Riots: I put the big end down on a germination tray on a germination heat pad, I snip a horizontal hole in the tiny end of the rooter and I lay the seed in like a hot dog so one end can grow up and the other end down. I keep em moist and warm, but not drowning. They mostly pop in 24-48 hours.
 
thank you ATU I must of missed something or forgot you got a new grow box , I dont know how you could do it but if you could figure a way to manifold them it would increase your yield ,the average size of the woods girls is 3x3x5 I could of kept them shorter if I needed to,just a thought ,

ATU, I wasn't happy using RW and switched to Rapid Rooters without doing enough research. I'm not really liking these rubberized thingys.

I've got a Green Crck just peeking her head out, we'll see how she does.
 
Nice looking root development. So snow white looking... You must have a ton of friends So many people I know these days are just stiff and prudish. WHAT happened to them?
 
I topped most of them last week, and I'm just LSTing. You'll see it better when they get a little more length to the branches.
 
No, I don't have a ton of friends!!! I hardly have any at all, as a matter of fact. Very very few folks I actually call "friend." Why would I have a ton?
 
Im with alltatup - ixnay on the friends eh. I can count mine on one hand, and my relations mostly leave me alone. Just the way I like it.
 
MANY years ago.. when pot was $20.00 an ounce we had gotten together with 2 friends and bought 1 pound. SUDDENLY, we had lots of friends. When the last few ounces finally got rationed, there were 4 of us.

Frankly, I have the same numbers today counted on one hand and THAT'S the way I like it
 
R ock W ool ... You know....it's the stuff I can never get to neutral when I pH adjust the chit... yet seems to provide a perfect media for slime to grow on when my seedlings and clones are most vulnerable.

Green Crck in Rapid Rooter Update.....She's peaking out, waiting to see some green cotyledons.
 
HappyDaze Duh!!! I should have known, but my mind was on rapid rooters. On my first couple of grows I used the RW cubes that came with my grow box. I would put these on top of them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/323625317738
They work great to keep the light off the RW.

As for "rubbery things," if you mean the RRs, I love them. I surround them with LECA in the net pot and the roots have an easy time of descending.
 
Girls are doing well; I removed White Widow from box 1 yesterday and decided to let the other two continue to veg for much longer than box 2, where the plants are growing much bigger.

Here's box 1 with C99 and Jack Herrer, who's lagged a bit; her growth has been slow, as if there were pH or some kind of root issue--although the roots look fine. I also didn't get great results with the first Jack H I grew: she was on the small side. So I'm kinda wondering about the seeds.

I removed the White Widow because she was runty and never going to really develop into a strong grower. I realized it would be much better to give all the space to C99, who turned into a beast on the last grow. I've also had issues with some of the other WWs I've grown with weak growth and small plants. This isn't the first WW I've euthanized.

Box 2 is great, the plants are all strong. LST in progress, although training in these boxes goes much better and easier after I've flipped them to 12/12. Also because I barely do any defoliation during veg so they grow fast.
