Currently running on their 1st 18/6 cycle dimmed @ 35%, daisy chained via RJ11 for dimming.

Running with drivers sitting above and to the side of lights in the room...running daytime temps of 26.5⁰C +/- 0.5⁰C and nightime 22 and a bit.

Ambient temps 30⁰C daytime and nightime 15⁰C...not too much heat in the room yet...

I like these lights so far...600w claimed output.

Yes...about 2.5 weeks in since potting from germination. 7 12 gal pots spaced in a zig zag for a canopy grow area of about 9 x 5 in a room 11 x 7 with 8ft ceiling.

To that I have added 2 150w dimmable highbay and 4 80w floods to fill in the corners....some will male/ hermie so I should have plenty of light for the remainder..the 80w floods throw out too much heat unfortunately.

I also have 5 x 30w Bavagreen Red boosters (24@660nm & 8&730nm) about US$40 each...very worthwhile judging by my main cola flower sizes in first grow...these seem to work well with the highbays and floods, should work even better with the SF's.

I also have 14 x 13w 8@405nm LEDs I just turned off....plants very short, less than 100mm high and 4th cola is pointing high and opening...I'll top in about a week at the 3rd cola.

Just using coco....system is full automated...I drain to waste

The big rectangular one they are the SF's. The two round ones are the 150w dimmable..The far two are the 80w floods....I'm going to swap them out for more 150w rounds....they run too hot..like 70⁰C

The driver is a MOSO driver...it's rated @ 600w output and on paper a very good driver.

MOSO specialises in driver's for outdoor usage exposed to the elements, street lighting drivers etc and they are all made to that high standard of IP67...The cabling is first rate although the connectors are not the highest standard, I think they will do, time will tell.

EDIT: The control board has a really nice dimmer knob, but the RJ11 ports do not have any weather sealing and are no way rated for any moisture ingress. They do not seal when connectors inserted nor do they come with covers if not being used. I doubt the switch or dimmer is rated but this needs to be brought to Spider Farmers attention. Don't spray water mist anywhere near that control panel.

The cable between driver and light fixture is about 2500 or 8 & half feet long. This will allow me to mount the drivers outside of the room if heat becomes a problem.

The lights are running at just under an indicated 40% dimmed...and the light fixture doesn't appear to be running any higher than ambient of 26⁰C, although they would have to be. The driver is warm to touch, I'll measure it properly when lights are back on for a few hours, but I'm guessing around 40⁰C to 45⁰C..

With my light setup Im at a height of 720mm to 800mm above sprouting fourth node (100 to 150mm high) and getting 290 to 330 ųmol/m²/s directly above sprout and going 360 to 390 right down the middle. Today is about day 18 since the seeds went from paper towel to coco....I haven't mapped the area for flower but can run everything at up to 100%...I'll be moving a light or 2 and a pot or 2 to balance the lighting over the remaining females.

5 year manufacturers warranty on all MOSO drivers.

Control panel and RJ11 ports for daisy chain dimming and a control switch to act as master or slave.

Pretty sure the dimming switch is standard 1-10v but I read somewhere in the specs it's 0-10v...no biggy..this light won't be used under 25% I wouldn't think.

Lots of DIY there friend, I like it! So the real question is what's up with them plants in trash cans, you going for it?

One of my favorite things about this hobby is piecing and parting things together, ever time I come into fall it's always a crunch to get a thing done so I can flip. My irrigation is a hodgepodge of timers and pumps and things but all of the rooms environment controls work on a trolmaster thesedays, I love my grow but interweb control allows me to love vacation at the same time.

Iv got gavita uvr bars but haven't used it yet. Them GC 680s I run dip into uv range and I can tell, its one of them thing i "did get in" before the flip 3 years in a row. Lol. Im lookin at IR for a up coming project, you've run your IR in flower already? Short blast? Sun up/down?

Last harvest I ran the reds 12/12 250 to 400mm above the canopy...300 to 350 seemed to be the sweet spot with my highbays and floods at about 600mm above....buds got that big, larger than my forearm and fist they all got mould..I had 8 of them big ones on each plant. They all died before reaching maturity. I managed to save the medium size and small buds but had to harvest too early.
i was planning to turn the reds off 2 weeks ir thereabouts before harvest time but never got to that point.

This grow I will run them from flip again through to about the same, 12/12 is the current plan...if main sf7000's are at say 700mm above canopy Ill keep these reds at about 640mm above canopy and see how that goes.

I'm only running the booster reds as everyone says the SF7000's are a bit light on in the red compared to the deep blue/violets and I already owned 5 of them.

I tested the lights before using them in the first grow and they were drawing 30watts a piece so as described there.

To add to that they can use 1 of 3 different diode manufacturers..I specified the Osram version and they were the most expensive but only by a few dollars...I questioned them on that and they sent me photos of both Osram reels and batch and bin # stickers....I have no reason to doubt them and didn't inspect the diodes under a microscope

The reason for the trash cans is that I know with the 405nm early on and all those 5000k white LEDS I can fill those pots completely with roots early on and reap the rewards at end of harvest with enormous yields if I can get my light pretty even across the entire canopy...yes it takes over 4 months, it needs more veg time to get length on the lower down colas so I can pop them up into the canopy....the reds help with that at flip too I'm told.

I'll post yields in about 16 weeks time, let's see

I've got a 240ltr water tank that I'm filling only to about 120ltrs...automated watering 3 times a day atm.. I will switch to two after topping...it water's for one minute through 3 mini sprayers I can adjust for flow in each pot...that lasts me about 6 days. Currently getting 10 to 20% run off.
I will give a pH'ed flush of plain water at least once every 5 days...about a 10ltr flush, and I keep neuts at about 60% of that recommended
