so I dissected this rockwool and I guess it didn't grow upside down like I first thought, a known annomily. Looks like both sprouts were connected and it got broke off because tap root was down so wasn't anything crazy just head broke off on way up through

Hi BMW

Seeds are smart when they soak in water they get bigger and pop open and the root is in search of water going down. It doesn't matter what way the seed is sitting, the tap root shoots downward sending the plant up.

I think your plant drowned it was trying to grow but lost the fight to breathe. I did this recently I could see the tap root and it would stop (drowned) The reason you don't feed seeds is they have their own food in the cotyledon leaves I don't see those on the sprouts.
 
I believe the endosperm provides most of the nutrition to start. This goes for all seeds. It's like the white in an egg. Good for the newborn.

Condolences! Germinating can be such a sensitive time for plant and grower! 🌱 Unless you're one of the lucky few who has way more seeds than they need! 🌱 Good luck on future sprouts!=😊
 
I think ur right ... I put seed right into rockwool then into lil greenhouse with heating pad and I have about a 75% success rate but it like this one broke... There was leaves on one end so I dipped that end in root tone and actually seems to b growing ... It back in greenhouse n I just hit it with a weak 15w led bulb... Keeping fingers crossed... It's pure power plant and really impressed with this strain
 
Lol I couldn't throw the thing away and had a spot open in tent so put end that broke off into new rockwool and put into the cloner and it's still green and leaves are growing but don't expect her to make it .... Pure power plant icu... Pray for her lol
 
Actually the leaf broke off on way up through n I took pc that broke and stuck it into the rockwool then into my DWC cloner and ya it's actually growing leaves but being its not very tall I don't think it gonna make it .. It's bad to have any leaves touching the ground ya kno
 
Those were the right baby leaves, so it has to be drowning mine never made it up to the top like yours did.

Time to look at your system something isn't right and we need to fix it asap!
 
Neither have I. I think the whole point of using rockwool is that it breathes very well and retains moisture. Not water, but moisture. I believe the consistency is much like fiberglass insulation.
