SOIL 1st timer...my "guy" is tying my plants down is it right

Ok my first grow but i have a "guy" tying my plants down I can see the difference in strains by how they grow...in your opinion am I or he doing ok these are clones
I got the clones 8/1
1 OG Kush
1 weeding cake

1000w light with adj ballast (running @600 for now)
FF happy frog soil
FF nutrients
5 gallon buckets

What you are doing is fine. Basically the most light you can get to more of the plant the better off you will be. Personally I'd top the plant to get more horizontal development but that's just how I do it. Search growweedeasy.com for information about topping.
 
Thanks I have auto I think is flowering to learn about the plant...pissed it is only a foot tall before it started flowering...ill look up topping to keep it flat at the top he said that too lol...but he is gone to work for a few months he said come here...thanks
 
Is it LST or supercropping? Either way the plant grows back up the way its supposed to be growing. The idea of trying them outward like this is to have a ride bushy growth. Ideal for maximizing space.

The difference between low stress training and supercropping is that supercropping damages the stem and the plant growth is stuff ted for a bit. But the damaged stem heals stronger and thicker allowing for a heavier flow of food to bud sites. LST just maximizes your plants volume
 
Well they are growing that is 2 days after i got them :shock:

I wish i knew i need to read more he bent my stem 90° at a 8 inches tall he said it lets light hit more of the stem to maximize the light because i have a big light im just happy it's growing
 
It's true because the leaves that were in shade from top leaves now get more light than before. Light is plant food. Nutrients we feed are like vitamins to help the plant make more higher quality food.
 
Your earlier post you mentioned you think it's an auto. Is it an auto? If it is an auto I would not top it any more. Generally autos dont get topped. If it's a full photo, have at her cut away. The only other thing I would possibly do is, drill a bunch of small holes along the side of pail along the bottom 1/3. I wished I had when I was using pails, I found that the bottom wouldn't dry out very well and was always soggy. Eventhough the top 2-3" where dry. This would be optional just make sure the bottoms to stay to soggy and the roots cant breath. Looks good.
 
My auto. Other 2 are clones my auto was just to ahow me what the plant does faster its flowering at 1 ft

Just have to be healthy with good roots. I'm gonna mainline them when I start autos. Im nervous to use SCROG cause it makes the pot immovable.
