1st Time Grow Need Tips

Wats Up Im Starting My 1st Grow Using Rockwool & Clay Pebbles I Wanted To Know If It Was Possible To Have A Proper Grow Without Actually Using A Hydro System But Hand Watering Instead :shock::shock:

You need a reservoir. The media you have won't hold water.

Couldnt I Add Another Media To The Clay Pebbles To Make It Suitable To Retain Enuff Water?

Don't see why not....when I use to do indoor I used perlite and just a cover of clay balls on the top so that the perlite wouldn't go Green...

Look into hempy buckets or bottom feed setups. I think that's going to be the closest thing.

Hempy Bucket Style Mite Be The Way To Go But Would It Be Possible To Use The Clay Pebbles As A Foundation In The 5gal Planter I Already Have So The Pearlite & Vermiculite Mix Doesnt Drain Out Of The Holes??

I used to grow and in 50 liter buckets but had pot socks so that didn't occur

I Was Doing Some Research Waiting For Answers And I Believe My Idea Should Work I Mean The Only Difference Would Be Is That I Wont Have The Mini Reservoir At The Bottom But The 3 Mediums Should Retain Enuff Water To Complete This Grow (Fingers Crossed):nah::nah::nah:

If you are hand watering why not use a medium that is for hand watering. Why make it more complicated.

I Totally Understand What You Guys Are Saying I Was Just Trying To See If I Could Improvise With The Pots I Already Have Instead Of Buying Buckets To Do The Dempy Method But Here Are Some Pics Of The Pot And How I Wanted To Use A Bottom Layer Of Clay Pebbles With The Non Soil Mix On Top With The Pots In Trays To Catch Drainage....Would This Work Or Would I Just Have To Buy The Buckets??

I would stay away from vermiculite it holds water longer than you probably want it to

Dude scratch all that scratch this whole thread scratch your first post you want something that acts like Hydro without the hydro go with Coco coir mixed with perlite or a pre-mixed Coco with perlite acts just like Hydro...

Stay away from vermiculite just being around it in its dry state is bad for your lungs but mixing it without a mask is asking for trouble peace
