First time reversing one of my favorite strains. Used Tiresias Mist feminized seed spray. It’s been something I’ve wanted to experience for a while now. It’s producing pollen so I added a few of my other favorite strains in with it. Just small plants in 1/2 gallon containers. Will be collecting the pollen to store once I can tell the donor plants are making seeds. And the pollen is viable. The reversed plant is 2 weeks older than the donor plants. I collected pollen and pollinated with a male plant a couple times and made good seeds. This is my first attempt at making myself a feminized seed. As a hobbyist I enjoy trying everything once.

Cool. congratulations I have not tried Tiresias Mist yet I will give it a try, I am curious if any crosses pick up any of the fem pollen traits. Bro science says crosses will only carry the female traits and not pick up any of the female pollen donor traits. Personally I dont think that is correct but with all the possible phenotypes how would anyone know?

From an excellent grower that has been bereding for 40+ years. That dont make him right but it makes his bro science worth paying attention to.

Most of the feminized seeds I have grown out from packs I have purchased. Usually have 3 distinct phenotypes either it’s like the mother or the donor plant. Or a mix of the two Ive never found anything crazy different. Not like going through a pack of regular F2 seeds. I don’t know how many seed makers actually work the feminized lineage. Pretty sure it’s a game of crossing two strains growing the seeds out. Choosing one the like and use it to reproduce seeds. I don’t think much selective breeding goes into it after the S1.

Only a few weeks in and can see seeds starting to form.
And the donor plants are flowering differently, gave them a
nice top dress of some organic goodies, probably only let
the reversed female go another week. Then pick some new
mature pollen sacks and collect a little dry and store. Look forward to spraying these ladies down with water to get the pollen off them.
And getting my normal growing cycle going. Stopped during this
learning experience just started several new strains I purchased
while waiting. And got some fresh cuts to mother my keepers.

Seeing nice variations among the 6. Can see a little of each parent expressing itself differently in structure, leaf pattern and how it’s flowering. It is a nice experience. Seeing it come together and being able to see what expressions come out. Knowing both parents and growing them many cycles really is helping me see what the cross is bringing.
